Every year newspapers report "In the UK there is a £300 fine for picking blackberries" because a years ago a rag interviewed a lawyer who said you can be fined £300 if, whilst foraging, you trespass on private land and refuse to leave when instructed to do so. So I went to the park to watch the eclipse through a pinhole projector I made and as I looked around I could see the park was so busy, hundreds of people were out, people were saying hi to each other and it was amazing. I felt this strange warm feeling. A dog was pissing on my leg.

Always check the sources, and look out for red flags. On here I saw figures which made no sense, AI content, Comments disabled on post. So I went to the Source, More In Common, downloaded the results of the latest poll and made my own chart using the raw data. It tells a much different story.

I think there's great value in the Greens running against Andy Burnham and running a really clean campaign where they don't slander at all and if Andy Burnham win give him a sincere congratulations. Show that there is a place for compassion and cooperation in politics and Greens are that place.

I reported someone for straight up calling Nursery Age Children and Nursery staff "N***ers" in a comment on a Department for Education post on Facebook. Apparently blatant hate crimes are no longer against Facebook community standards. That comment had been there for 7 weeks and had 10 likes, too.

Media rhetoric effects teachers too. I am a TA and was supporting a lesson in which a teacher said "San Francisco is a coastal city. A negative issue of this is that it attracts immigrants." Completely ignoring the cultural, ethical and economic benefit of immigrants both historically and currently.

Today on my little adventures I spotted a friend. I try not to intervene in nature but it was crawling around on and near a footpath with a lot of foot traffic, dogs and bicycles that travel over it, so I moved it a little bit off into the undergrowth. #TouchGrass

On my walk today I spotted a great many things. The birds were too flighty to photograph, the rabbits too hoppy, and the thousands of baby fish too glittery. This mushroom, possibly an Agaricus Augustus (Prince), was more than happy to pose for me, though. #TouchGrass

Allow 16-17 year olds to vote and then block their access to information regarding things which 16-17 year olds are likely to vote based on. (I volunteer with young people and they talk about global conflict often) But it's ok, it's 'protecting children'.

According to Oxford Reference both "Tsunami" And "Tsunamis" are correct for referring to the plural of #tsunami. Although the Japanese language does not pluralise using an "S" at the end of a word, there are ways to pluralise words. Also, both English and Japanese borrow words from each other.

I reported this comment on Facebook. It was in response to a woman who was seeking help on applying for financial help for her grandchild that she's the sole carer of. It took a week for Facebook to respond with "We did not remove this comment as it does not breach our community guidelines".

Remember when Facebook actually used to moderate their platform? Now you report obvious hate speech and even obvious scam bot accounts (the type with stolen sexy profile pics trying to scam old men) and you just get "We didn't remove the content" automated responses back. What an awful platform.

I've just overheard an old man complaining that they're not eligible for the winter fuel payments. Saying it is expensive to pay for heating in the 3 houses he owns. Tonight I'll weep for this poor old man as I pay rent in the house I don't own.
