I just hope he still loved me in those final moments, even though I wasn't there enough for him.

Christopher | (TheDrowsyCat) @thedrowsycat.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

I'm laying in bed right now, the day after all is done and all the phone calls have been made. I still can't cry for some reason. I keep thinking "could he still be around if I was in his life more?" Or "would he still be around if I managed to get him out of that apartment?" I'm not sure.

I called his bank, I called his landlord, his insurance, his utilities, etc. to pass on the info and see the steps we have to take for everything (which if you live in the US, please get on your parents back account so you don't have to go through probate court when they pass...)

Christopher | (TheDrowsyCat) @thedrowsycat.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

We stood outside and watched the funeral home wheel him away. Yesterday we had his celebration of life ceremony at the funeral home. Family I haven't seen in years showed up and even some of his friends showed up as well. A lot of tears were shed amongst everyone and yet I still couldn't cry.

Christopher | (TheDrowsyCat) @thedrowsycat.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

I walked through his apartment, the same I used to live in with him back in highschool and gathered some of the more important items. A wallet, his security box that has his important documents, and some clothes for him to wear. My brother couldn't handle everything so I footed the responsibilities.

110

Christopher | (TheDrowsyCat) @thedrowsycat.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

The conditions were terrible. The walls and everything he owned was coated in nicotine. I stood there hugging my brother as he cried but for some reason, I couldn't cry.

Christopher | (TheDrowsyCat) @thedrowsycat.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Unfortunately, it was very sudden. He had a ton of health problems and even though he knew it was killing him, he smoked multiple packs of cigarettes a day. One of his friends found him, they called my brother, my brother called me. We always wanted to get him out of the apartment he lived in.

I've been trying to figure out the words to say without coming off as attention seeking. I barely post as it is and I've lost contact with a lot of people here but I feel like I need to make a post about a situation that happened in my life recently. This past weekend, my father passed away.

Unfortunately, the app is only in development for Android and Windows but I will be developing it for IOS once I get it on the Windows App Store and the Google Play Store. (Also, if you want to share this, that would be TOTALLY awesome) Thank you!

Hello everyone! I've mentioned this in some servers and on Reddit but I think I'm finally ready to post it here too! I've been developing an app for Borderlands 4! If you or anyone you know plays BL4 and would like to help me test the app, just shoot me a DM and I'll send you the download link!

That sounds like torture lol ironically also sounds like the game I got the other day called Supermarket Chaos where you have to pick up and sort over 6k items that have been thrown all over the store by a stocking robot that went haywire lol

Because my son is on summer break and I work 2nd shift, I'm able to get 8 or more hours of sleep every day but here's the fun part... Doesn't matter how much sleep I get, I'm still VERY tired. It's like eating something you know is delicious and not being able to taste it 😭

I thought the depression meds would make all the bad days go away. I was mistaken. Sometimes, they're inevitable, and that's okay.
