I love Reddit, but IMO linear forums have their own advantages. A forum thread can have a continuous narrative, whereas on Reddit if OP has an update they really need to make a new post. For something like discussing a movie before and after it's released I like the old forum style better.

At my apartment they use a third-party company to do pet paperwork, and you have to sign up even if it's just to click "I don't have any pets". During that process they show you several ads, and then try to trick you into consenting to being emailed more ads. I hate this type of company.
