Synasthesia, Slow, and Vision of Death: 3 "save or suck" spells that, honestly, are just too powerful (no incap) and are always chosen due to that power. It goes against PF2e design, right? If there's a "best" choice, that means there's less choice overall. Anyone else hate these spells?

So the Summoner Dedication still sucks... Outside of being able to use your Eidolon to be easily healed by your healer (if your PC is out of range), are there any actual good uses for an Eidolon without any Tandem actions? I just don't understand what the point of the Summoner Dedication is...

Do we know if we're getting some proper updates to the Magus and Summoner in Impossible Magic? Would love to see the Summoner Dedication, in particular, become something... not abysmal. And Spellstrike once per fight is kinda "meh" when Vicious Swing can be used every round...

I'm thinking of doing a multiclass archetype vid next, and a friend said that he wished it explained what features from the main class these archetypes miss out on (like Animist never getting Apparition spells etc). Does that info sound useful to anyone else out there? Or should I just skip it?

My favourite spell tradition, by far, is Primal - it has both Heal AND Fireball. Need I say more? I am curious though... I get the impression that most people prefer the Arcane tradition. Am I right there or am I not alone in being a Primal lover? Also, Divine needs more spells. There - I said it.

Soo.. Paizo announced a new system - 13 Omens: "..a modern, supernatural, rules-lite horror TTRPG set in a dark reflection of our world.." Thoughts? I'm more of a rules-heavy kinda GM but I trust Paizo could nail the landing here and make a fun, more chill (yet more horror) "alternative" to PF2e!

So one of the campaigns I'm running is Dual Class, Skill Paragon, Gradual Ability Boost, Ancestry Paragon, Automatic Bonus Progression & Free Archetype. Balancing encounters is certainly... a thing. Especially at level 12. And no wonder I can never fill that fifth player slot...

Why is it that Summoner has to roll twice and take the worse result if both them and their Eidolon get caught in an AoE? What bonuses to gameplay does the Summoner get that makes this pretty big disadvantage worth it vs the other classes!? Never understood it. Also, Summoner doesn't summon. Pfft.

Another Hot Take: Class names in PF2e sometimes suck. Summoner doesn't summon by default, Kineticist has no kinetic abilities, and the upcoming Necromancer is Occult based and has Thralls, not nexessarily an "undead" class. And every class is a "Fighter", technically.

Hot Take: Backgrounds suck in PF2e. I'll come up with a really cool character concept and make a cool build and all that stuff, and then I have to look through HUNDREDS of backgrounds to try and get one that suits the character... I wish I had an easy solution asides from making your own...

Who else found Daredevil and Slayer playtest to be kinda mid? I feel like DD could've been a Swashie archetype, and Slayer has a cool theme but marking a single target as a quarry (takes 10 mins) and not getting to use some of your cooler class abilities doesn't work for like 95% of APs...

So Paizo (maybe mistakenly) had a new book up on their site that's all about the First World, with new player options and a gazetteer (how would that even work if the First World changes constantly!?). Link is dead now though so might've gone up too soon. Exciting! Was on the PF2e subreddit.

It's been a while since I posted anything here, but I've decided I'm going to try and occasionally post some nonsense. Hot Take: The maths in PF2e is deliberately so well-designed that you can pretty much make ANY PC, and not have to worry about it (so long as you have a GM who "gets" your group).
