Invoice just in case. They absolutely charged for two brake drums at a big markup. Brake drums are between $40-$70 for that car, and yet somehow they did both rear brake systems rather than just the right passenger rear brake system... brake shoes are also not $70. Yikes. Never going to them again

Remember, many strays were once someone's pet. Article: Facebook.com/share/p/1JJppMAg7j Links: South County Cats: www.southcountycats.org Chewy: Chewy.com/g/south-county-cats_b69035440 Amazon: Amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3P31M1R2TF6XD #Cats #SpayAndNeuter #TNR #SouthCountyCats #AdoptDontShop

Meet Charlotte. She was found abandoned under a porch, desperately trying to protect and feed her nine newborn kittens. She came to us severely emaciated and is still battling tummy issues, yet she never stopped giving everything she had to keep her babies alive. Her nine babies are being fostered by another SCC foster.
Cases like Charlotte’s are a heartbreaking reminder of how pet populations spiral out of control—much like the recent situation with the local "boat cat man," where dozens of unsterilized cats multiplied beyond what one person or community could manage. Without accessible spay and neuter resources, innocent cats pay the price.
At South County Cats, this is why we do what we do. Our mission centers on low-cost spay/neuter services, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and providing loving foster homes to give cats like Charlotte and her kittens a second chance.
Right now, Charlotte is safe, healing, and getting the attention and care she needs. Once fully rehabilitated, she’ll head to a rescue partner to hopefully find the forever home she truly deserves. But with 65+ kittens currently in our foster network, our resources are stretched to the limit—**our wet kitten food supply has completely dwindled**, and our donated stock is almost gone.
Please consider sending a few cans of wet kitten food our way to keep these little bellies full! See donation links in above post

🎉🐾- 20,000 cats processed through South County Cats and the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project is a HUGE accomplishment! I am so proud of them! Article: www.facebook.com/share/p/1bc2... Links: South County Cats: www.southcountycats.org #Cats #SpayAndNeuter #TNR #SouthCountyCats #AdoptDontShop

A Milestone and a Whole Lot of 20s! 🐾🎈
As we head toward South County Cats’ 20th anniversary on July 24th, a massive milestone just happened under our own roof.
This past Saturday, our incredible partners at Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project (FCSNP) officially altered the 20,000th cat at our South County Spay & Neuter Clinic since we opened the doors on August 1, 2020. That is a whole lot of 20s!
It was a powerhouse clinic day. Together, the team altered 58 total cats—including one of our own foster volunteer Melanie’s sweet kittens.
We are deeply grateful to FCSNP and everyone who has helped us build this lifeline over the last six years. Here’s to the next 20,000!

A quick note on the photo: The little piece of tape on our foster kitten's head might look silly, but it's actually a vital, life-saving tool on busy clinic days. With dozens of cats moving through surgery, these tags help the clinic crew instantly track each cat’s vital information so each patient stays perfectly safe.

We are absolutely blown away! 😭❤️
When we said "we just have to get through July," our community didn't just listen—you showed up in a massive way. Packages have been arriving non-stop, packed with the vital kitten food, formula, and supplies our fosters desperately need right now.
Because of your incredible generosity, our shelves are restocked and our tireless foster families have the fuel they need to keep these babies thriving. Running a grassroots rescue takes a village, and we have the absolute best one out there.
From the bottom of our hearts—and from all the tiny paws currently munching on breakfast—THANK YOU!

The potatoes took off, of course they don't need much. The lettuce, bok choy, and spinnach are just poking through in two planters. The constant cold and rain killed my first batch. The old strawberry leaves died and now new ones are coming in. No images for tomatoes yet.
