Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 13/06/2026This pride month, I decided to be a bit bold and draw something I’ve been thinking about for a while. It might be a little odd, but in my mind it made sense. Leather Frank makes sense based on aesthetics, but also could symbolize freedom. As usual, character belongs to @irvinewelsh.bsky.social 012
Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 21/05/2026Gerry draw something other than Trainspotting challenge: impossible, because I love drawing Trainspotting too much I love to draw Simon and Mark it makes me feel free. Freedom from my classes means I get to focus on my passions lol As usual, characters belong to @irvinewelsh.bsky.social 033
Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 18/05/2026Went absolutely insane for my drawing final and drew life size to scale Frank Begbie. I’ve never felt so free in my life. I wanted to do a bit more with this but then I got sick RIP, it’s alright tho. Had a fun time working on this. Character belongs to the wonderful @irvinewelsh.bsky.social 0133

Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 27/04/2026I have been dying to make a Begbie plushie for so long and I finally did it. He’s not perfect but I love him he’s so funny looking. I’m happy I finally had the time to do it. #trainspotting (Character belongs to @irvinewelsh.bsky.social) 021
Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 08/04/2026Just finished reading The Blade Artist by @irvinewelsh.bsky.social and I genuinely think it’s my favorite book of all time. I am hoping to make more artwork based on it soon, I have ideas and I’m hoping I can execute them. Heres a frank doodle in the meantime. 1174

Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Part two of my Simon photo bash series! Today was my 22nd birthday, and I found myself thinking about Simon’s 22nd birthday too. The chapter I Did What I Did means a lot to me, I think about it all the time. Based on writing by @irvinewelsh.bsky.social, thanks for the great stories! 011
Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 21/12/2025Simon photo bash I did for a Spotify playlist cover. Gerard David Francis @thecrustlord.bsky.social · 13/12/2025I feel so bad I don’t post on here that often lol, but I swear I’m still drawing a lot. I did this doodle of Begbie not too long ago based on some descriptions @irvinewelsh.bsky.social does of him in the novels. I’m obsessed with the fact he’s described as having lots of tattoos. Hard to draw tho 😂 5275
