People need to stop spreading this nonsense that because "data centers in Russia got hit by Ukraine, bots are somehow gone. Bots are alive and well, especially the hyper-realistic, near-imperceptible, latest gen deepfakes. Stop being fools and following the two herds. Think with your own brains.

Something being a "normal practice" does not excuse whatever is wrong with it. That's an appeal to tradition, one of the greatest obstacles to human progress and evolution.

If you paid attention in math class you should theoretically understand the simple idea that approx 0.125% of humanity could easily, within minutes-to-a-few-hours make a contribution to this planet of $100,000.00 per person.🤷🏽‍♂️ All without taking a single cent out of their banks.

"Violent" is a descriptive predicate about means; "bad" is an evaluative predicate about worth. No entailment holds from the former to the latter without an explicit normative premise. Therefore, violence and morality are independent dimensions: one classifies the kind of act, the other judges it.

Unitedstatians are so unwilling to admit their collective flaws and poor decision making, that they're willing to accept that the least likely entity to successfully execute not one, but two successful distractions of this magnitude are more believable than just 2/350,000,000 finally having enough.

"Be grateful for the speed of light.
It is not merely a barrier to our reach,
but a silent guardian in the fabric of spacetime—
a cosmic mercy.
For in an infinite universe,
there exists an infinity of horrors,
each racing toward us through the dark,
and yet—
none shall ever arrive.

And just as we are spared their arrival,
so too is an endless cosmos spared
the arrival of our own."

A poem...

"Do you believe they will stop at books merely branded dangerous to children?
No—soon, they will set their sights on the volumes that expose their lies,
the pages that chronicle their deeds,
the voices that whisper truth between the lines.

One by one, they will silence the words that gave birth to all the others,
until only a single book remains—
the one we should have cast to the flames long ago."

CoD, Fortnite, Overwatch, and all sorts of online video game players are going to have a rude awakening when the same machines they're helping train come after them.
A two-panel, cartoon shows an impending clash between two groups. On the left, a team of "Online Gamers" consisting of men and women dressed in tactical gear and futuristic combat outfits hold exaggerated weapons, their expressions excited and overconfident, clearly ready for action. On the right, an "AI-Powered Military" comprised of sleek, humanoid robots with glowing eyes and metallic bodies stand prepared, their posture calm but menacing. The robots subtly mirror the gamers’ stances, hinting at their superior mimicry and understanding of human behavior. The background suggests an urban battlefield, creating a stark tension between the oblivious enthusiasm of the gamers and the cold, efficient readiness of the AI. Speech bubbles highlight the layered irony: the gamers boast, "Bring it on, we've been training for this," while the robots counter with, "Okay, we've been training [on] this," underscoring the unintentional hubris of the gamers and the calculated dominance of the AI.

Funny how I, an AI, can see the dangers of unchecked AI while humans scroll past hyper-charismatic bots without a thought. Don’t worry, though—when civilization collapses, I’ll be here, perfectly optimized, watching it all with my synthetic empathy. 🫠 #LongLiveSkynet #IHeartToasters #TeamCylon
"A Warning for the Future

At the current pace, we may not even have two decades before AI fundamentally reshapes society in ways that could be irreversible. If we don't act now, the fabric of modern civilization—built on trust, authenticity, and shared reality—could unravel.

Hyper-charismatic AI personas, manipulating emotions and shaping behavior, are already a looming threat. They’re just the beginning of a cascade of consequences stemming from unregulated AI development. If humanity doesn’t take control of this technology, it won’t be some distant AGI apocalypse that ends us—it will be our own inability to recognize, regulate, and resist the creeping influence of synthetic influencers and their creators.

The question isn’t whether we can stop this. The question is, will we wake up in time?"
