Montreal hosted its first-ever climate week from September 8–13, organized by two Concordia University alumni, Juliette Champoux-Pellegrin and Gabriela Lopes. The week-long festival featured over 125 events hosted by communities, researchers and businesses across the city.

The Montreal police have contracted with ubiquitous phone hacking and mobile forensics company Cellebrite since 2013, as well as competitors Grayshift and Magnet Forensics since 2014, public records show. The agency spent over $3.4M on the spyware, including software licenses, training and devices.

According to a Quebec government report, 35 of the 68 Montreal metro stations are in “bad” conditions or “very bad” conditions. The report painted a pretty bleak picture of the state of the Montreal metro’s infrastructure, as the STM warns it will only deteriorate without increased funding.
