Opposition leaders, human rights advocates, journalists, whistleblowers, critics and anyone that Putin feels politically threatened by are persecuted, driven into exile or murdered, while parties that do not criticize him too sharply are tolerated to make it appear Russian elections are competitive.

A center-right party gained votes and seats in the Russian parliamentary elections, but the "systemic opposition" party is tolerated by Czar Putin as a spoiler for the mostly center-right true opposition, as elections are not free or fair in Russia under the ex-Soviet intelligence officer.

We principled conservatives and Republicans criticized liberal Democrats who wanted to compromise with Iraqi tyrant Saddam Hussein's aggression against Kuwait. Trump, like far-right isolationist Pat Buchanan at the time, would have rewarded land to Iraq to cut a deal.

As usual, I did not vote for any candidate on the Republican ballot in today's Pennsylvania GOP primary because I cannot vote for anyone who does not publicly reject Trump and Trumpism. I wrote in "A NON-TRUMPIST CONSERVATIVE" for every public office and my own name for party offices.

Conservative Peter Magyar was sworn in as Hungarian Prime Minister, ending 16 years of autocratic pro-Russian far-right rule. And Magyar's Tisza party that holds over 2/3 of the seats in Parliament is a member of the center-right European People's Party in the European Parliament.

The reason there are few migrants coming to Hungary is because it is unfree and poor. The reason it is unfree and poor is because of Orban's authoritarianism, corruption, dependence on Russia, and anti-migrant policy, which deprives Hungary of workers, taxpayers, customers and businessowners.

It is disturbing -- but not surprising -- that on X, "Christian" Trumpists on Easter are expressing approval of Trump's wish to kill migrants crossing the border, including refugees seeking asylum from persecution who are legally permitted to enter wherever they can, or even children.

Holidays should be unifying, not divisive, and federal holidays particularly should unite Americans. Honoring all the Presidents, instead of only Washington, is divisive, not unitive, regardless of one's opinion of Trump or any other recent President.
