I can't take Dragon's Crown seriously all the women in this game were designed by a coomer. Seriously out of the three playable female characters only one doesn't have their boobs. And all the men are drawn as hyper swole. Were Vannilaware games always this bad or is just this one unique?

Can we all stop pretending that ao3 is like a niche secret site. When your yearly hits to your website (100mil) top out above the population of most countries in the world, it's not really a secret anymore.

My one wish for 2026 is that more TTRPG creators provide their roll tables, bestiaries, etc in an easy format like markdown or json to import into VTTs and other software. Copying and pasting out of pdfs is so painful.

Pokémon Wind and Waves starters aren't ugly... but they don't feel radically compelling like I want to jump into the game just for them either. Also Pokémon will have to win me back hard on more than just starters to get me playing mainline games again.

Third game of the year finished and.. Well the gameplay is good I love a good puzzle builder and it really makes you think about where your putting down buildings and managing resources. But, the story the writing is very generic and two-dimensional. Basically a tech-bro utopia fantasy.

I dislike how some booktokers/gramers group YA & MG graphic novels into the same list. a lot of these comics don't have crossover in demographics. Because there audiences are at completely different stages of development. It also gives the vibes that comics are inherently childish.

This is why being an Australian book and comic fan sucks sometimes. Like why is the shipping 3x the price of the actual books - which are on sale. 😭 I live regional and its also more expensive in shipping versus metro. You may as well not offer international shipping at this point of unaffordability

A screen capture of the checkout for three comic books that are on a half price special. the total for the books comes to $40.50 AUD with shipping at $125.00 AUD, totalling $182.05. Shipping is 3x the price of the books alone.

"Sometimes when things seem to be falling apart, it means there’s room for something incredible to grow." Queer resilance at its finest. #DisabilityBookRecs #AutismBookRecs

Daniel Cabot doesn’t really know what he’s doing with his life. He’s lost faith in himself, his future, and maybe the world. The only things he knows that he cares about are the garden in the empty lot next to his crumbling East Village apartment building and his best friend.

Alex Savchenko has always known that he’s…difficult. Prickly, maybe, if you’re feeling generous. But maybe that’s the kind of personality it takes to start a low-income pediatrics clinic in one of Manhattan’s most troubled neighborhoods. When Daniel stumbles into his life, Alex doesn’t expect him to stay—most people don’t. And when Alex develops useless, inconvenient feelings for his new friend, he does what he’s always done, and tells himself that he isn’t feeling anything at all.

Daniel, though, has always worn his heart on his sleeve, and he isn’t stopping now.

Sometimes when things seem to be falling apart, it means there’s room for something incredible to grow.

Book cover for the for the Hollow by Taylor Grothe (Peachtree Teen, September 2025). A twisted crow with guts spilling out of it and wrapped in vines, a green eye pokes out from its mutilated body

After a meltdown in her school cafeteria prompts an unwanted autism diagnosis, Cassie Davis moves back to her hometown in upstate New York, where her mom hopes the familiarity will allow Cassie to feel normal again. Cassie’s never truly felt normal anywhere, but she does crave the ease she used to have with her old friends.
Problem is that her friends aren’t so eager to welcome her back into the fold. They extend an olive branch by inviting her on their backpacking trip to Hollow Ridge, in the upper reaches of the Adirondacks. But when a fight breaks out their first night, Cassie wakes to a barren campsite—her friends all gone.
With severe weather approaching and nearing sensory overload, Cassie is saved by a boy named Kaleb, who whisks her away to a compound of artists and outcasts he calls the Roost. As Kaleb tends to her injuries, Cassie begins to feel—for the first time in her life—that she can truly be herself.... (too long for full description)
