www.tumblr.com/akirakirxaa/... I'll be hosting Mayncient again this year, if anyone would like to participate on tumblr OR here! To appease the character limit gods I'll leave the majority of the rules on the tumblr post. Prompts will be in the alt text as well. #mayncient2025

Lyrics

Lovely to just lay here with you
We all die in the end, but I know who I am
Look at all the broken things I can be
Where the raindrops as they’re falling tell a story
How did I live in a kingdom of thieves
Your shine won’t last forever, but you’ll forever glow
Whatever lies beyond this morning is a little later on
If you lead I will follow, I will be your Apollo
A promise with the light is broken by design
Press your lips to the sculptures and surely you’ll stay

((I can't promise I'll respond to all of these but everyone else is sharing them and, well. I'm trying to go outside of my comfort zone a little.))

Far more than anyone else ever has, in my professional opinion.

((Akira vc: Didn't you have special hyper sensitive aether sight other ancients didn't have? 🤨 ))

[She stumbles under the sudden weight before catching her balance] Twelve preserve, you're sick too? What're the chances? Well, sit down and I'll make some more. [She shoves him onto the couch and arranges the blankets to cover him too.]

Don't be ridiculous, we love you, it's no trouble.

[She wraps another blanket around him and kisses his hair.] Stay put and *rest*, I'll go find something. Or get Hyth to help me put something together.

[2/2] [She touches his forehead to check his temperature.] Have you eaten anything yet?

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

[Akira bustles in, beakers and bottles clinking together in a small satchel slung around her shoulders. Her shoulders are squared not unlike when heading to battle.] Here you are, love. This one is for fever, take it first, then this one is mixed with honey for your throat. [1/2]

Hythlodaeus easily, he probably weighs less than my greatsword. Hades is possible but he *also* wields greatswords and is half again my height so it takes some effort.

What is your favorite non-tea flavor to be added to a tea blend? Sweeteners not included.

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

[Her face screws up as if trying not to answer before it spills out anyways.] That...that he enjoys being dominated in private. Most especially by Hythlodaeus. I am going to go die now. Maybe even before he gets to kill me.

I desperately needed to protect the people I care about, in a way my black mage staff didn't allow me to do. I could never let something like the banquet happen again. So, if I had to assign that to a single emotion, I suppose regret.

In my defense, I was very young and had just arrived in Ul'dah.

000

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Well, somewhat embarrassingly I don't remember much. We'd both been drinking more than would probably be advised.

100

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Well, I suppose that makes sense considering how long you lived there. ^^; My apologies, I was only jesting.

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Somehow I don't think said founder will appreciate that.

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

She is very pretty, but not my type. Pass.

010

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Well, ah, we did. Once. Long long ago. So I suppose that's my answer. ^^;

...The Crystal Tower? [Mumbling] Sorry I had to. 😅

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

I... He is objectively attractive but I don't think... Pass, I think.

000

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Fray? But Fray is... Well. I mean. [She glances at herself for a moment.] Smash? I think?

010

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

...Smash. Though. Though the horns might have posed an issue. 😖Logistically, I mean.

I am concerned but Hyth insisted I should.

So I went on an adventure yesterday with doodling emojis. They're all of mine and @revanchxst.bsky.social 's OCs so I don't think they'll be of much use to anyone, but I had to show them off cause I'm actually very proud of them. :3

9. How do they make a living? Akira is willing to do many odd jobs to fill her coffers. She'll do anything from monster hunting to potion making to the little bit of farming she does on her island sanctuary. She's not incredibly wealthy, but she makes enough to get by.

010

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

8. Goals? When she originally left home, she wanted to be an adventurer of renown and see more of the world. Now, she just wants more than anything to protect the people she loves and give them a good life.

000

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

7. Childhood? She can't remember it, but her childhood was mostly fine. Her adoptive mother was kind and taught her much, like alchemy, how to grow food, and how to be self sufficient, as well as protecting Akira from those in Ishgard that would call au ra "heretics" baselessly.

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

6. Their clothing? Akira does like her long coats and jackets. Also tall leather boots, and either shorts or skirts to restrict movement as little as possible. And she wears the Azem crystal on a necklace at all times.

000

Akira, Warrior of Light @theboundlessdark.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

5. Their personality? Akira in public is fairly quiet and stoic, though what many see as stoicism would be better described as anxiety. In private, she can be more timid and reluctant to get close, even if she *wants* closeness. More of that anxiety, see.

4. Their age? She's roughly in her early 30s by DT. She was likely early 20s for ARR, for reference (we are not going to think about how the twins should have long since hit their growth spurts with this timeline). She doesn't *actually* know for sure though because amnesia.
