Gaming in New York Is Wild (And No One Talks About It)
I spent three days exploring New York’s gaming scene, from arcades to board games to a one-of-a-kind mystery tournament. 🎮 I started at Chinatown Fair Family Fun Center, a legendary arcade with deep roots in NYC gaming history. Then, I headed to Wonderville, a Brooklyn barcade with original indie games, where I got my first taste of the Killer Queen tournament. Day 2 took me to the Nintendo Store and the Squirrel Café, where I attempted (and failed) to master Power Grid. And on Day 3? I entered The Greatest Gamer—a tournament where the game is chosen at random, and anything can happen. Along the way, I met some incredible people, faced off in intense matches, and learned a valuable lesson: the best gaming moments aren’t always about winning, but about who you share them with. 📌 Timestamps: 0:00 Intro 0:45 Chinatown Fair Arcade 1:30 Wonderville & Killer Queen 3:00...
