How do I tell people gentrification isn’t when a new apartment is built that replaces a single family home, but it’s when that apartment isn’t built and richer people buy up the home and renovate it.

I truly hope that Steyer wins purely on the basis of housing. California needs housing. San Diego is already showing how to reduce housing costs and it will support the current and future transit. Plus people who live in apartments, typically will allow more apartments in their neighborhoods

It’s been years since vision zero started popping up in cities. In NYC, I’ve noticed that the death toll has declined significantly. However, the injury and significant injury rates have increased. I have a theory to why this is.

The people in the world that annoy me the most are those who say replacing parking lots and single family homes will raise the rent for everyone. Like how? Theres typically only 1-2 families that lives in them, if that nowadays, and its replaces with a multi family home or even an apartment.

While newer lights in cities like NYC, do use the right most option, the factor of light color also comes into play. The more red something is tinted, the less strain it gives your eyes and lets you see further in the dark.

These past 2 months have been exciting for trains, last month the MTA announced new commuter trains sets and the R211 trains going on the B line. This month Pennsylvania is discussing filling the financial transit hole, and the Acelas are coming at the end of the month.
