Grab a cab to Sants station for the 12:45pm AVE train to Girona (38 mins - £29) then a cab (10 mins) to the Estadi Montlivi for the 2pm kick off between Girona and Celta Vigo - tickets on sale now for €37.50. It’s a small stadium so you’ll need to be quick to get one.

Next up is a day trip although it may be less stressful to do as a one nighters, but who doesn’t love a challenge of two La Liga games in a day. Saturday 1st March fly from London Stansted with Ryanair at 07:40, Arriving at Barcelona El Prat at 10:50.

Catch a train around 12.00 from Parrache to St Etienne Châteaucreux (about an hour €15) then tram T3 (€1.60) to the Stade Geoffrey-Guichard for the 2.30pm kick off versus Le Havre. Tickets on sale from Wednesday €18. Buy a Les Verts scarf and enjoy the chips!

Saturday 1st March Fly from London Luton with EasyJet at 07:10, arriving at Lyon-Saint Exupéry at 09:50. Catch the regular tram to Part-Dieu (€10.50). Cross the square & leave your bags at the Campanile hotel (£61 for a twin) & grab a beer at the Malting Pot opposite.
