The earliest banned book I can remember reading was Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut. We read Harrison Bergeron in 7th grade English class and I asked the teach how to spell the author's name. It was the first time I learned you could put "fuck" in a book. Happy Banned Books Week!

The raw visceral hatred some men have for women, at least women who step out of line, is shocking. I know it sounds like some sorta "one of the good ones" ploy but I am genuinely taken aback when I see it because I think: I had a fairly normal socialisation as a man in the west, how did I miss this?

I got back into wrestling when Pac was doing the "King of the Cruiserweignts" gimmick at 205 Live. I will never forget when he won the title back on that show and posted on twitter to weld the name plates on the belt. Just perfectly understood that character and also was phenomenal in the ring. RIP

Reading Citadel of the Autarch and it really feels like this has moved from a standard "war hospital" story to feeling very similar to the opening of Berserk. This series has been all over the place. And I think that's what has kept me so glued to it.

I have a co-worker that gets them EVERY week as a treat and I want to tell this woman that ice cream exists. We live in the Baltimore area and you can find Taharka Brothers ice cream in tons of locations and it doesn't taste like something you would put in a sensory bin for a toddler.
