I know just enough about wrestling title belt history to be dangerous. Sometimes I like wrestling, too. I’m a card-carrying member of @theallianceblog.bsky.social, where I man the controls at the @toaglivestream.bsky.social podcast. #WeAreTheAlliance

I’m headed to my hometown of Toronto in just under a month for some @mapleleafpro.bsky.social action to see the first Canadian champion crowned since Mosca! Who’s in? #JoshAlexander #PCO #ThomLatimer #BishopDyer #MattCardona

Like him, hate him, learn to love him, because he’s probably the greatest of all time. #Woo #wrestling #wrestlesky

The #TPOG was always king in Canada, right up until the Tunneys went all-WWF. #tenpoundsofgold #prowrestling #wrestlingbelts #wrestlesky

The greatest title in the history of professional wrestling, and the wellspring of almost all World titles that followed it. #tenpoundsofgold #prowrestling #wrestlingbelts #wrestlesky

It’s true. Because of the misuse - inside gym bags, tossed around the ring, breaking the domed globes - photos can be dated to the year, and sometimes the actual match date. #tenpoundsofgold #prowrestling #wrestlingbelts #wrestlesky

It’s true: “KVE”, right there on the TPOG’s main plate. #tenpoundsofgold #prowrestling #wrestlingbelts #wrestlesky

Totalling 1,559 days, Dan Severn’s two NWA Worlds title reigns began with wins over Chris Candido and Shinya Hashimoto. The first was ended by Naoya Ogawa; in the second, he was stripped by the NWA. #wrestling #wrestlingbelts #wrestlinghistory #tenpoundsofgold #wrestlesky

It’s a coin toss between the #tenpoundsofgold and #biggold for many people in the “best belt design of all time” category. But… that Severn belt, amirite? Hoo baby. #wrestling #wrestlingbelts #wrestlinghistory

Yeah, the same cat who created the “Crown” version of the NWA Worlds Championship also created the #TPOG. That’s talent, baby! #tenpoundsofgold #prowrestling #prowrestlinghistory #wearethealliance

My wife Raluca and I were married September 10th, 2022. These were from our pre-wedding photos, where I was encouraged to bring something that was “me”. The “Raluchador” is both supportive *and* tolerant. 😏 #tenpoundsofgold #biggold #wrestlingbelt
