This is from SpaceX’s summary of the flight. This frankly dishonest framing is a waste of taxpayer resources and will cost us the race with Chinese. “The booster failed to reignite the required engines and impacted the Gulf” is more accurate to the result of the mission. The booster failed.

“It attempted to relight its engines for the landing burn, with a subset successfully igniting before experiencing a hard splashdown in the Gulf.” (of Mexico)

I’m so sick and tired of watching SpaceX test their bullshit super booster and PLAINLY MISREPRESENT the results. The super heavy failed to reignite all its engines and hard impacted the ocean surface, and the announcers have the UNMITIGATED GALL to say “Another successful landing of super heavy :D”
