On a rocky overlook in the Three-Fold Land, the Aiel lead Rand, Moiraine, Lan and Egwene to Rhuidean, their holy city. The Wise Ones are adorned with jewelry, the warriors all carry spears, but the man leading out front next to Rand is Clan Chief Rhuarc.

Still have the goat in my arms, turned so you can see his sweet little face. He’s a creamy color, with fawny brown around the eyes and nose. My face is obscured behind him, so I’m just glasses and auburn curls, but you can see a bit of their pasture in the background.

Olver got his namesake for his stupidly large ears, snubby smashed face, fugly underbite smile and love of bosom snuggling. So when his twisted kyphosis spine meant he needed a mobility stroller, it had to be named after the hero who carried the littlest Hornblower through Tarmon Gai’don: Bela. 🐴✨

A black-and-tan stroller for my blue-and-tan pup. This is Olver’s first trip and he was a bit unsure of himself, so I’m bent over trying to reassure him with smiles and cuddles. You can see little brother Loial doing his typical I-must-be-included photo bomb in the bottom corner.

6mo-old Olver curled up in his blue blanket the first day he was brought home. You can see one of his grey eyes catching the light, trying to figure out what is going on as I give him paint-stained scritches.

In college, my friend Kari—same as Kari al’Thor—showed up in my room with Eye of the World, and left it there. And then every few days, she’d walk in, check my progress, judge me, and then leave again. By the Shadow Rising, I was hooked. So I proceeded to find my own victim and repeat the cycle. 😇
