Regardless of your reasoning that rye is right, it just doesn't have a future. Astral will almost certainly start sunsetting the project once uv has full feature equivalence.
Screenshot of a disclaimer on the rye README from its github. It says: "If you're getting started with Rye, consider uv, the successor project from the same maintainers.

While Rye is actively maintained, uv offers a more stable and feature-complete experience, and is the recommended choice for new projects."
