I'm at @ratapalooza.bsky.social today, with NEW rat stickers and charms! I'm really just here to pet all the cute rats 💜🐀💜

Coming home from lunch out today hurt, because he wasn't there to greet us at the door. I won't claim to have been the most attached or close to Tobermory. But I did love and care for him. He was charming, goofy, and extremely memorable.

My blind cat went missing last night. I spent all night wandering around outside calling for him and barely slept. He is strictly indoors, but someone left a door open and he wandered out unnoticed. I'm furious, and terrified I'll never see him again.

I finally have an appointment with a specialist to figure out my new health issues. Over a month from now. Our healthcare system is such a fucking joke. In the meantime, I just have to cross my fingers that this won't get significantly worse and/or result in permanent organ damage. Weeeeee...

The Snowlion @the-snowlion.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

So I've had an autoimmune disorder for over ten years. My recent health issues have been likely due to a second one. I need to see a specialist so I can get it treated, but they have no openings in their schedule. I have to just keep calling back and hoping there's a spot for me this time.

I might have a weakness for sad orchids in the clearance section of hardware stores. (This is the second time.) Poor thing was developing root rot. Hopefully this temporary planter will give it a chance to recover.

Finally got my hands on this thing! I really wanted to have a nice bit of AstralSounds stuff to display at my convention table. The art took me absolutely forever, but I'm really happy with the result (despite a minor mistake on my part)

I've gotten so rusty that a simple character drawing now takes me ages just to sketch. It never feels right and I'm constantly re-doing bits! But I'm planning to get some new character refs made and take part in ArtFight again this year to try to get back into the groove of drawing.

Y'know, it might suck having an old, outdated, shitty desktop as my main work computer, but at least I know this thing's quirks. I get a weird error message or something breaks, I already have a system in place to fix it, which I probably figured out 5+ years ago.

I am still alive! I have been fighting a bad case of depression and cPTSD symptoms for a while, which has made doing anything really difficult. I desperately want to return to AstralSounds, but I'm not in a place to make that happen yet Progress is slow, but I'm definitely trying

Art vs. Artist My last drawing of 2025 and the first thing I have managed to draw in weeks. Good riddance to an awful year, but I dread whatever 2026 holds.

I really wanted to do more for Art Fight, but this month ended up wearing me down. I thumbnailed several attacks and revenges that I ran out of time (and energy) to complete. Hoping to tackle those next year, and overall do more!

Coming up on a year since I lost my sweet, stupid boy, Patches. I've been thinking about him and the other piggies a lot lately. They were all so fun and unique and charming 💜 I'm still not ready for a new pet, but I sure miss having guinea pigs

I've recently been rotating an old character in my head again. For anyone unfamiliar, this is Scitch. She has been one of my brain children since 2006, with several different interations over the years. This version of her has been around since 2015/16-ish. I'd missed drawing her. Been a while

Art of a character with long red hair and green eyes. Her hands are enveloped in flames. She's wearing a dark purple-blue off-collar sweater, skinny jeans, and brown fold-down boots.
