I revisited the Eisenhower Museum in Abilene, Ks today (pictured is the Place of Meditation where Ike and Mamie are buried). Upon reviewing his life, I was struck by the chasm of difference between Ike's integrity and what passes for donald trump's "integrity". We need someone like Ike again.

Pretty clear Hegseth’s primary mission is to transform the military ideologically by overtly indoctrinating troops with Christian nationalism and apocalyptic holy war messaging while rooting out those who don’t want to participate and just want to serve their country admirably.

Hegseth reminds me of the crazed General Jack D. Ripper in Dr. Strangelove who is convinced that the commies are polluting America's "precious bodily fluids". Hegseth is just about as psychotic and would have fit right in to the movie's plot.
