Nic is a 10/10, no notes character, though. With all the medical stuff I've been through, I have a special place in my heart for nurses. (And yes, I do know what happens to her a few seasons down the road.)

SPEAKING of hospital bureaucracies, guys, these two are just the worst. I love Bruce Greenwood and Melina Kanakaredes, but their levels of villainy here were almost cartoonish.

He's a fun character and all, but it just seems like in the first half of season 1, he's basically Logan Huntzberger if he'd gone to medical school and done a tour overseas? (Love how hard he fights for his patients, though, against insurance and hospital bureaucracies.)
