Ukrainian MoD advisor Serhii Flash says Starlink restrictions affect not only long-range missions and frontline logistics, but also interceptor drones used to defend against jet-powered Shaheds, potentially removing one of Ukraine’s few effective defenses against them.
Everyone is writing that Starlink restrictions have affected long-range missions and frontline logistics, but there is another major problem for us.
Starlink is used in what is currently the most effective solution (interceptors) for protecting our skies from jet-powered Shaheds.
In effect, our partners’ actions are depriving us of one of the few ways we have to defend the country against jet-powered Shaheds.

Sberbank’s regional data center in Balakovo, Saratov Oblast, was hit in an attack. Partially operational, it was still under construction, with completion planned for 2030. The 55,000 m² complex was designed for 120,000 servers and cost an estimated $1.4 billion. Coordinates: 51.962484,47.796256
As a result of the attack on Saratov Oblast, Sberbank’s regional data center in the city of Balakovo was hit.
The data center was still under construction but was partially operational. The first phase had already been launched, and completion of all work was planned for 2030.
At the end of 2024, permits were issued for phases 2 through 8, meaning that most of the complex was only beginning construction at that time.
Total area of over 55,000 m², 7 modules with 500 racks each, 12–15 kW per rack, up to 120,000 servers.
It was conceived as Sberbank’s first regional data center under its regional data center network program. It was claimed that it would become the largest in Russia, while local authorities also described it as “the largest in Europe.”
The project is estimated to cost 122.2 billion rubles (approximately $1.4 billion).

Kazakhstan reported nearly 6 million tonnes in lost oil production due to export disruptions through Novorossiysk. The CPC handles over 80% of Kazakhstan’s oil exports. Drone attacks on tankers halted terminal loading in July, forcing production cuts. Oil intake later resumed.

Fourth phase of Operation Vivaldi: Biletskyi announces the liberation of another 101 km²

The Third Army Corps and attached units liberated Zelena Dolyna, Lypove and Kolodiazi. According to Andrii Biletskyi, enemy losses during this phase amounted to approximately 3,000 personnel.

The operation to eliminate Russian infiltration developed into an offensive that thwarted the enemy’s attempt to bypass the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and cut the Kharkiv–Sloviansk highway.

Total results of the operation:

- 16 settlements liberated;
- 277 km² of territory regained;
- Russian losses of approximately 8,000 personnel.

1/ Russian warbloggers are applauding the Trump Administration for the apparent crippling of Starlink in Ukraine. Terminals now reportedly no longer work at speeds of higher than 60-70 km/h (37 to 44 mph), effectively disabling many Ukrainian drones. ⬇️

Sternenko has reported that he's being told about further reduction in maximum speeds for drones equipped with Starlinks. First, they were restricted to 160km/h and now he is reporting restrictions of 60-70 km/h
❗️We are receiving reports from the military that restrictions on the use of Starlink satellite terminals have just been increased for our operators.

The speed at which communication begins to be lost is 60-70 km/h.

Serhii Flash, advisor to Ukraine's MoD also reports on Starlink being nerfed for Ukrainian drones.
I confirm that SpaceX has implemented speed limits for Starlink terminals while in motion, starting tonight.

Currently, the restriction applies to the "military package" of StarShield services and is set at a speed of 100 miles per hour.

Our defense forces were not notified of this restriction, and it has resulted in the disruption of several missions.

It is clear that this action is not coincidental and is related to the current political situation.

Ukrainian volunteer/drone guy/expert Sternenko reports that Ukrainian drones using Starlink were limited to 160km/h on missions last night, disrupting the success of some of them. Also, he reports that drones on the front are having their Starlink limited. Take with salt until confirmed.

STERNENKO

| The «Starlink» terminals were restricted tonight.

In motion at a speed of more than 160 km/h, communication began to disappear. Because of this, a number of important missions were disrupted.

The company «SpaceX>> probably resorted to such measures at the request of the Trump administration.

Conventional satellite communication terminals are currently operational.
