Here are the Dark Elf Death Fortresses from man o’war - with the 90s style finish. Highlights mostly done with drybrush. In game, these are one of the few ‘independents’ so don’t have to stay in formation. It’s a floating castle on top of a mighty sea dragon! #nerdlings #manowar #warhammercommunity

One of my favourite John Blanche works - ‘and they shall know no fear’. RIP to the legend #warhammercommunity

Like many countless fans, I am saddened to hear of the passing of John Blanche. Perhaps one of the greatest influences to the tone and feel of Warhammer but also to the dark but whimsical nature of 'Grimdark' vibe. The man knew how to make cherubs terrifying yet incredibly silly.

Hugely sad. We've lost John Blanche. It's hard to know where to begin. He set fire to a generation's imagination, and those fires show no sign of stopping burning. His work very much illuminated the darkness.

This week I’m working on my little Man O’War project - a ‘ship’ of the line squadron of Dark Elf Death Fortresses. These are 3d prints and look quite nice compared to the originals #nerdlings #manowar #oldhammer

Current WIP, first go at Deathwing - base coats done. Found them a bit more tricky than greenwing, bone armour is less forgiving on neatness! #nerdlings #warhammercommunity
