Who is better, hired mercenary gf or hired mercenary gf? [ #artpiece #human #fanart #hotlinemiami #discoelysium ]

Traditional illustration of Klaasje Amandou from Disco Elysium and the Girlfriend from Hotline Miami at the railing of a balcony. Klaasje is turned towards GF and is gesturing with a cigarette while talking, though we cannot see what she is saying. GF is leaning on the railing with her arms crossed, listening silently.

Look the horse metaphors are losing substance, all I'm saying is Jean and Harry could fix their relationship with a riding crop /hj

Yet somehow, they live through it. Perhaps the stressful and unfair situation evens a little. Maybe the rider is more soft with his crop. Maybe he realizes that while the horse loves him, he forgot to love it back.

It was the HORSE POWER one, by the way! Such a good piece.

They're loyal, strong creatures to me. It's the perfect animal for someone like him. Also I think it only really occurred to me this idea of the kinship of horses with Jean due to your horse-themed skill! Soo I'm just giving back to the conversation what I can do.

rider is ready to try again, this time maybe grip the saddle a little tighter, will the horse still be there. Loyal as always.

Dare I say, he's as loyal as a horse is to his rider. It will carry its rider until it cannot go any further, and even then, it will still push whatever is left in its body to go a few inches more. It's only when the rider pushes off the horse repeatedly that it gives up. Even then, whenever the-

He is loyal to a fault and the thought of him having to hear the guy he has pushed all his chips into sing his soul out and dedicate it to not him, but a different "cooler" partner breaks my heart into pieces.

Also the animation itself is beautiful. Jean has and will always be Harry's rock when he has reached the end of his chain. He will be the person to dust him off, look him in the eye, and tell him to try again.

Oh 100%. People think Depression is all mental, but I have been bed-ridden due to the damn thing.

The Courier @the-courier.bsky.social · 08/11/2024

I know you said you just took it off a random screencap, but I really do like the idea of Jean having low physical health but high mental health. It plays the exact opposite of Harry, someone who is seen to be incredibly fit (underneath all of...that) but struggles with mental problems daily.

Of course, I don't lose sight of the irony that Harry was able to take control of his Physique and Motorics, which house ELECTRO-CHEMISTRY and SAVOIR FAIRE, respectively. It was probably easier for Harry to work out a muscle than to do some inner reflection.

010

The Courier @the-courier.bsky.social · 07/11/2024

He has a beer gut, sure, but underneath all that fat is muscle. Muscle honed after years of being a PE Teacher, living in the New, and being a cop. He knows how to use it too, capable of doing fucking 360 judo kicks and "teleporting". That muscle is backed up by pure motor skill.

The Courier @the-courier.bsky.social · 07/11/2024

Fuck, this made me think about how scary Harry was at his worst. Imagine seeing this man - no - this ANIMAL coming at you. He's belligerent, he reeks of alcohol and piss, and the look in his eye tells you that he's either killing you, himself, or you then himself. On top of all of this, HE IS A COP.

Love how you can barely see Kim looking at Harry but very OBVIOUSLY see Harry looking at Kim. He truly has bicep girth
