Once again I am just sitting here marveling at the fact that I switched 1 med and it feels like someone pulled cling film off my brain. Can’t believe some people just wake up like this. #mentalhealth #personalrambles

Saw a post about someone who’s considering giving up writing altogether, after finding their fic that had almost zero interaction (comments/kudos) on A03 was being lauded where they couldn’t see, and whose readers said it didn’t matter since they’d post it anyway. So imma share my thoughts here too.

great quiz 🥹 i create art because i am shaped by the things i love...

result i personally got from the quiz:
Gratitude

You create from gratitude. There is something for which you are deeply, profoundly grateful, for which the words "thank you" couldn't begin to suffice. It is enough to make you glad to be alive. You make art to express your deep gratitude for having been allowed to know something wonderful enough to redeem all life's pains. Your work is pervaded by a sense of thankfulness, an appreciation for what you've been lucky enough to know. It is a loving expression of the sincerest gratitude there is. Your art is thanks for every good fortune you've received. It is a tribute to a feeling you have vowed never to forget. You count yourself as incredibly lucky, and your work is a testament to that. It is proof this world and this life need not be such terrible things.

Personally, I think 20% of the creative process is the doing. 80% is living life to the fullest and letting your brain bounce ideas around Great ideas come when you're resting They can't come if you're never resting

If you're a creator who: -Takes long break periods -Creates very slowly -Has another full time job or engagement -Struggles with productivity -Is inconsistent I'm sorry to tell you... YOU'RE STILL A VALID CREATOR BECAUSE CREATING IS TIED TO PASSION, NOT PRODUCTIVITY 💜

One of my all-time favorite pieces- a token I made for an old DnD character, Val’Ravn. (He was secretly a bird-turned-Druid lol)

A just-for-funsies I made for tciddaemina’s fic “Says the Shadow” over on A03, with some detail close ups on a few of my favorite hands. … …so many hands… so many bangles lol

Two dark gray hands wrapped around Shen Qingqiu’s shoulders. The one on the left stays close to his neck, adorned with gold rings and bangles. The one on the right settles lower, over his chest as it toys with a strand of his hair. It only has one gold ring, with four gold bangles. Details of Shen Qingqiu’s clothing can be seen, with square geometrics along his lapels, and a bamboo pattern along his outer robe. Gold stitches hide under his top-most collar.

A dark gray hand of an eldritch being. It wears many golden rings and three gold bangles hang loosely from its wrist. It is holding a ball of glowing gold thread.

A close up of a dark gray hand from an Eldritch entity. It is holding a thin needle threaded with golden thread. It wears several gold rings, and four gold bangles hang loosely around its wrist.

A stylistic artwork of the character Shen Qingqiu, dressed in green and white robes. Behind him is a many armed entity draped in gold bangles and thread, with a curtain of chains obscuring its face. Its twelve hands are fanned out around it, each in a different pose. One on the left holds a ball of glowing gold thread. A hand on the right side holds the needle. The thread dances between the two points. At some points, the thread becomes stitches, sewing two of the entity’s arms into Shen Qingqiu’s.
