I was not successful in securing CHVRCHES tickets :( but I am a little taken aback at those surprised they went so fast. I mean, the London venue only has a capacity of 250 and the Glasgow one doesn't publish a capacity because it's usually a recording studio. These were tiny, tiny (charity) shows:

From the web page of St Matthias Church declaring its capacity maximum is 250.

In general, the kind of content journalists want to create, and the most engaged readers want to see, makes the least money. We all try to do good stuff, but it’s increasingly tough. Publishers and devs with galactic revenues ask for support, but few give back. Support your media!

Just on these images Charlie has reposted alone (and this Netflix one from The Other Site) this already very much looks like the A Touch of Cloth spiritual successor I hope it will be.

Only in its second season - and first was earlier this year. Plus first was only 8 eps long (one you posted is from second episode of the second season which is set for 12 eps) - plus it's on Sky over here - so entirely reasonable to have only recently discovered it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHVG...

I fear the one we've dubbed Domino is getting similarly over-comfortable with where he can put his butt in the house despite not being our cat. We're fairly certain he left a "present" in the bathtub this morning but his defence was remarkably robust:

Domino curled up on my late mother's crocheted blanket.

From November - Xbox Cloud Gaming no longer uncapped on Ultimate (or other tiers) - just 15 hours pw. The "positive" is that you'll be able to buy cloud hours separately & without Game Pass but really it's still a bit naff, especially those using Cloud to save HDD space news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/0...

I know it's something I should really stop paying attention to and it's literally just toxic/bad faith discourse etc, but a lot of the worst "takes" re: Double Fine's Kickstarter really betrays who quite obviously didn't watch (at a generous estimate) even one episode of the PsychOdyssey.

Ben Borthwick @the-b.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I think as well to your video point about not being as excited; something feels "made by corporate committee" - not that anything is strictly 'bad' but things like the cooking & the scanner feel "here's what modern gamers like" & too leaning to a game made to justify the IP until Catalyst is ready.

Coyote Vs. ACME is so damn good. I cannot believe it was almost a victim of a tax write off scheme. It’s so full of heart, so smart, so creative and fun. Must see.

Just a PSA for all the other major publishers: You can’t make a GTA 6. Don’t have any meetings about it. Don’t put together any pitch decks. Don’t preemptively doom your workforce and the industry any further than you already have. Leave it alone.

GTA VI looks visually incredible, I enjoyed the writing & cinematic work a lot, world building etc - but the gameplay looks very familiar. And oddly the contemporary, "realistic" settings makes all the murder feel kinda... nasty? I wonder if it'll feel as revolutionary as previous iterations.
