this is my cat, juniper! she came up to me in the workshop when she was a kitten, and was immediately friendly- so my wife and i took her in and got her taken care of... she's been a smart, sweet kitty to us since!

i do think that this is almost an inevitability? i cant speak for everyone of course, but i used to be super intimidated of people with high follower counts. it was a mix of social anxiety and unfamiliarity... after i went to my first con my perception began to to change and i got less anxious :)
