I see this plastic megaphone and I immediately want to go full Cait Sith around the office.

A Japanese style plastic yellow megaphone on a nylon rope sitting on a white laminated table.

So, AI tools/assistants that automatically agree with, flatter, or validate a user's ideas rather than challenge them in any way, are known as "Yes Machines". ..... and he wants to rebrand "ai" as "si"? It's funny because he would never, ever get why that's funny.

I skimmed The Super Mario Galaxy movie again on the plane. I stand by my opinion that it's an extremely pretty nostalgic movie, but fairly lackluster plot. But whoa boy, whomever rigged and animated Fox McCloud certainly knew what they were doing. 💦

"We upgraded your room to a king bed." Oh that's nice. I guess it'll be just a little... Good lord, this bed is wider than it is long!

A particularly wide king bed in a Tokyo hotel room. It almost looks like two double beds stuck together.

I just signed into my GOG account and was a little confused by the list of most-recent titles. This doesn't seem like the sort of games I would normally buy... 🤔 I mean, maybe Sapphire Safari? (It has *furry* "hot babes"). But I don't think I've even heard of *that* before today.

The GOG game catalogue including regular titles like "Zniw Adventure", "Wing Commander Privateer", "Warcraft I/II"... and a handful of titles like "Being a DIK", "Fetish Locator", "Helping the Hotties" and "Lust Theory".

Lizalfos need to become one of the main races in Zelda games (like Gorons, Rito, Zora and Gerudo), maybe make one of them a sage also. I guess in that case they'd be called "Lizal" instead.

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”

APStylebook @APStylebook

Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.

My ancient Roland EM-10 might be on the way out. A few keys are dead and now the MIDI-OUT has stopped working. Going from 61 keys to 25 is rough.

Possibly slight spoiler for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but I love this cover of Battle on the Big Bridge for the fight with the game's superboss. It also amuses me to no end that the song itself has a big bridge that sits between the first and final phases. music.youtube.com/watch?v=5kBq...

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth feels like a 40 hour game that was deliberately padded out to an 80 hour one. Every animation and quest obstacle feels like it exists to drag the game out that little bit longer.
