I cannot promise that I'll reaaaaaally have it all finished by October, but rest assured, I'll be doing the thumbnailing for the main illustration. I actually spent last night figuring out how to do the scan line effects with a placeholder pattern, had me rubbing my hands in glee like a villain.

Looking through it really smacked me of this bygone era that's happened during my internet lifetime. So as a homage, I gathered some art of 7 artists that were namely featured on that website and tasking myself to emulate the art style as close as possible for my silly fictional band.

Nyello, I've come to explain So, back when I was a bab, before I was old enough to really have accounts on websites, I spent a lot of my time trawling through a site called RockToons[dot]com. You can only find the site through WaybackMachine nowadays, but I loved looking through it for band art.

Jack O'lantern is an annual design I try to draw at least once during October who is just a Halloween skin of Jack. I love making themed alternate designs for Jack, he's my own personal dress up doll. There's a very basic AU and some lore tied to him but he's mostly for fun. #Beanstalked

Some 3D printed spooky silhouettes in honor of the season 🎃

A silhouette of a witch and cat. The witches head resembles a star because of her hat.

One more band member tomorrow and then I'll really start the project proper!!

Don't think I'll be able to get to Kerenza tonight but will be able to finish Xander here sooon Admittedly, his on-stage look was just something on a whim but I love how it contrasts his eyes so very well

So I looked over these cheat sheets on my phone earlier today and they looked so pixelated on my phone I was gonna redo them but they still look fine on the computer, so I'm just like "huh???" I thought it had to do with the fact I resized the canvas that made it look like ass but I guess not?

These horses are suffering in my twisted mind temple

two anthro unicorn women. One tall one with cool grey white fur and lavender hair, and black ears and a black horn. She has turquoise eyes and a strong body, she is wearing a dress with a fur waistband, with the colors grey-purple and white. She has her hands on her hips and a stern brow. The smaller unicorn woman is cream white with brown eyes, freckled moles, and mossy green hair. Her horn is mint colored, she is wearing a white ruffled dress. The text near phoebe, the cream unicorn says: Run-away heir to Lanita's Mistress's throne. Seeking to take up the blade and choose her own life, she sought out lanita inspired by the rumors of her infamy, wanting Lanita to teach her how to wield weapons and defend herself. Wanted/hunted to be returned to her mother and her role

The text next to lanita, the lavender unicorn, says:excommunicated from kingdom for refusing to give up her arms and enter into a maternal coven, which caused her enough cognitive dissonance to become aware of the greater unjustices and scandals of her cruel mistress.
Blacksmith and Master Swordswoman, departed from and shamed by her former allegiance to a corrupt Monarchy, seeking to make amends for her past life. Highly skeptical now, she measures and trains the wills and hearts of would-be adventurers who seek to make things right in an unjust world.

Looking at this is a pretty solid estimation of how tall everyone is, if anything, Kerenza (the orange silhouette) should be a leeeeeetle more taller than Xander (or I could just shrink Xander down tbh ddjhdhsbjs)

At a good stopping point for now, got round to roughing the silhouettes for the other three (included Peregrine's as well for comparison
