I will be off the grid, out in the woods, camping with my husband again. Last time not much reading was done as we had to deal with a nor'easter and our campsite getting flooded out. But this time, make no mistake, I WILL be getting as much reading done as I can manage. I love reading outdoors! Enjoy your first week of October!

Good morning, readers! I started the month off strong with a few Short Stories for #ShortStorySeptember... but after that my reading became out of a whack. I was so busy this month with going back to work and getting set up and ready for our camping trips. Thank goodness audiobooks are a thing! If you're not following me on Storygraph, you should! This is my page.

These are all the books I would like to read this autumn season. Some are thrillers, some are horror, a few are for a read-along I am participating in, and some just have fall whimsy. Talk about a mood readers list, LOL!!!! Have you read any of these?

Good morning readers! These are all of the books that I acquired/received/borrowed onto my shelves, virtual and/or physical, for the entire month of September: I borrowed all of these from Libby. I borrowed these from my local library. I chose this book for my First Reads choice this month. Not my usual genre but I've been in a autumnal mood lately.

I absolutely LOVE using my library for all my books and audiobook needs. I do not have a lot of money to blow on a hobby, so I found a good way to support my community, my library and my reading habit! The library has a ton of resources and I always check there first for audiobooks I want to listen to or books I want to read.

Thank you to Rebecca from Bookish Beck for hosting this year! These are the short stories I ended up reading in September. All of these are great books and I enjoyed reading them!

Title: Lost Talisman and A TequilaAuthor: Annette MarieFormat: audiobookLength: 7 hours 55 minutesNarrator: Cris Dukehart and Teddy HamilitonRating: 4 starsPublication Date: August 25, 2020 Another fantastic addition to the Guild Codex: Spellbound series! I loved seeing Tori and the rest of the gang get pulled into another chaotic adventure involving magical artifacts, dangerous enemies, and plenty of trouble.

When I got back into reading during the Pandemic, I did not own a lot of books from my childhood (some, but not many). I slowly started building up a small library here at home. My house is small and I don't have the space for a bookshelf anywhere. I ended up buying a narrow one to shove next to my nightstand in my bedroom.

Not my typical genre. It's been autumn weather around here & it's put me in a seasonal mood. Samhain sweeps magic into Gracie’s cosy Irish hometown, and with it the boy who broke her heart ten years ago…Sunny librarian Gracie isn’t looking for love. After dumping her cheating ex, she’s living the life she’s always dreamed of as a small-town librarian – surrounded by books, knitted pumpkins, and the cosy magic of Samhain.

Title: Old HamAuthor: Seraphina Nova GlassFormat: eBook Length: 195 pagesRating: 4 starsPublication Date: October 13, 2026 Old Ham by Seraphina Nova Glass was a quick-paced, darkly entertaining read. From the very beginning I couldn't look away from the main character. Junie is completely unhinged and watching her justify every increasingly outrageous decision made this book impossible to put down.

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings to spotlight the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally, they're books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday that was hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. I requested this one on NetGalley and was approved by the publisher (HarperAudio Adult).

This is book 1 in The Farseer Trilogy. I got this one on PangoBooks with the money I earned from selling a few books on PangoBooks. My credit card was not charged so I am counting this as a non-spend. This was also my first purchase on the app and I couldn't be happier with how the whole transaction went.

I was going through a photos folder on my computer and came across some bookstagram photos I took years ago. I thought it would be fun to share them here! I actually think these photos are so cute! Maybe I need to transition back to these type of photos instead of all the digital ones I've done lately.

My local branch of the library is quite smaller in what's available off the shelf, but it's interconnected all throughout my county in New Jersey so I am able to request books and have them shipped to me if need be. I made a trip to the library the other day and now these are the library books I have in my possession.

I joined a series challenge I saw in a Discord group earlier this year, and wanted to update how well I am doing on with it. With this challenge you earn points for finishing series, caught up on a series, if it's a buddy read and a few other ways throughout the year (zero points for book 1 in a series, because the point is to complete series!).

Today starts Chapter 43 of my life! I don't have much planned for today... August is always a busy month for my family, and by the time my birthday rolls around I am over having any set plans and want to do nothing. I will more than likely sit in the backyard and read a book in the morning (since the weather has been so perfect for that all this week), and I'm sure I'll decide on a place to go to dinner later in the day. So here is to a lowkey birthday celebration!
