3. NETWORK. From my personal experience, word from mouth is the best marketing tactic, and networking is vital for that to happen. Plus, gamedev can get fairly lonely, and making sure to socialize with others like you while working will keep you sane. (feat @witchfallgame.bsky.social)

2. DON'T BE AFRAID TO REDO WORK. Crappy coding is a bad thing. Code on top of crappy coding is even worse. It can be agonizing to have to go back to work you already spent hours on, but you'll thank yourself for doing so months later.
