Pilar and I had tried to shoot an Ibiza sunrise at least three times. The sun showed up every time. Pilar was less consistent. 😅 So at 6:18 I sent a “good morning” that really meant: 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗕𝗘 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗞𝗘. This time she made it. The morning went off script.

We’d been trying to make this shoot happen for more than two years. When it finally did, Ibiza gave us rain, clouds and basically no sunrise at all. 😂 Luckily, Ketty showed up with the tiniest and shiniest bikini imaginable.

Sometimes I still think… how did this become my life? I wake up ridiculously early, drive somewhere beautiful, wait for good light and spend the morning pointing a camera at some of the most gorgeous women in the world. Do kids in primary school dream of this job? I didn’t even know it existed.

Maya in Ibiza, after a wave splashed over her during the shoot. Did I place her suspiciously close to the water knowing this might happen? My subconscious is unavailable for comment. Her outfit became less opaque, she just kept posing, and my subconscious remains very pleased with itself.
