Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 17/02/2025Had a few grapefruit flavoured beers last night when I'm not allowed to do that (sad bois iykyk) so I've mainly spent the day trying to work out if I'll open the window or not before I dive out it. 000
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 17/02/2025Narrow Head were obviously class last night but High Vis. Hoo boy. About to get real weird with them like I didn't just hear them for the first time 12 hours ago. 000
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 16/02/2025Point against the league's form team on a poor pitch, but meh. Feel our subs killed momentum again. Kept trying to play the same way as 1st half without the personnel to do so. With no Olusanya on the pitch, balls in behind are wasted. Dweeb ref made sure neither team could build any rhythm anyway. 000
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 15/02/2025It's like that old saying. No football on today? Stick and poke tattoo of a cat. 000

Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 11/02/2025Out the cup aye, but "Somewhere between 5th and 10th in the league depending on a multitude of increasingly small margins and impossible to predict variables" scans just as well on a hat anyway you actually don't even know what you're talking about? 020
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 11/02/2025Hardest part of that to take was how comfortable we were for 70-75 minutes of the game. Tiredness, wastefulness and a lack of quality off the bench opened the door for Hearts. Will never have a go at anyone willing to step up in a shootout. Should never have got to that point though. 000
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 10/02/2025Jacket gang. Hoodie heads. I reckon we're down to a single digit amount of of layering up games of football left this season. Do good out there and godspeed to you all. 000

Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 09/02/2025The system also gives us flexibility. If we need to, we can drop into a 532 to frustrate them, or push one CB up/drop one forward back into midfield to match their numbers. Against a team that wants to dominate, this adaptability is crucial. 000

Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 09/02/2025Hearts have been in fine attacking form recently but they do tend to leave gaps. Their full-backs push high, meaning quick switches through our wing-backs and an all-action front two can catch them in transition. This is exactly where the 352 excels. 100
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 09/02/2025Cammy Devlin has been Hearts' key man in midfield of late, winning balls high and dictating play. Having the three CBs gives us the insurance to let O'Hara/Phillips aggressively press him without leaving us exposed. Cut off the supply line, cut off Hearts' rhythm. 100
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 09/02/2025Hearts' Kabangu-Wilson/Shankland partnership has been causing havoc with their direct running. Our back three and the shield of O'Hara/Phillips' running gives us the defensive stability to deal with this, while also giving us the numbers to stop Hearts' midfield dominating. 110
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 09/02/2025Tanser and his RWB counterpart (whether Bwomono or new boy Alebiosu) are key here. Hearts' wide players (Spittal etc) like to tuck inside, leaving space for our wing backs to exploit on the counter. This is exactly how we can hurt Hearts - using the channels to transition quickly 100
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 09/02/2025We've played 343, dual 10s behind a striker, and - most successfully - 352 this season. Each has its merits, but against Hearts' high-octane 442 under Neil Critchley, the 352 gives us the perfect counter attacking platform. Just like in Jan's 3-0 demolition job up at Aberdeen. 100
Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 09/02/2025By Stephen Robinson’s own admission, the choice to stick with the 352 last time out v St Johnstone was the wrong one. There may be some groans if we line up that way once again when Hearts come to town tomorrow night, but I think it's the right call. Here's a thread on why... 🧵 131

Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 06/02/2025The right move with Alebiosu coming in. Penman's talent is clear as day but the game at Pittodrie showed the danger of asking too much too soon of a 17 year old. He'll have many games in a Saints shirt to look forward to. Game time the priority right now. Hope he smashes it! 010

Andrew Christie @thatandrewc.bsky.social · 04/02/2025Don't mind this at all. Elvis has done a fine job since coming in, but there are games that require that wee bit of creative spark that he maybe lacks. Gives us options and opens the door for Penman to go out on loan. 030
