Not my experience either. After finishing Antimemetics and DCC book 3 last week somehow I'm alraady on chapter 34 of Sun Eater 1. Am totally digging the slow burn of this book. The comparisons to Dune and Red Rising are there, but I'm finding this more like Will of the Many.

My current top five songs for the year. #82major #zelo #ateez #taemin #peresjung. So far, Sign is my number one...but Colorind from Perses' Jung might end up taking the top spot. Finally after 12 years of solos Taemin makes the top five. For once...there's no Shines. #kpop

Hit pause on The Expanse, Red Rising and now DCC and reading book one of the #thesuneaterseries with #empireofsilence. This is a nice pallette cleanser for my pallette cleanser DCC. As if I needed to start another series ATM...but here I am.

I'm about 80% through #dungeoncrawlercarl Book 3. #thedungeonanarchistscookbook and @mattdinniman.bsky.social has taken these characters to places I didn't think they'd go depthwise. Katia has out of nowhere become as beloved as Donut and I'm as invested in her happiness as I am Carl's.

I'm off to Jay Park and Lngshot today. No dramas for me...but HORIZON had a very satisfying ending for me. "Not the best, but still good" ending.

I had figured that Chin couldn't be Bua because of the eyes, but now that I know it's not I can see how people thought he was. This episode was GREAT!

It's not so bad in this show. Their support staff are treated like family...no slaves or servants really. V

And can we talk about those Phoom kisses and the main character in that light fixture. That NC scene was ART.

And aside from the much improved camera work...the plot was plotting. There was so much info given to us and not in a in your face obvious way. This show, for me, went from MEH to FUCK YEA #SAMMON. Idk if she was involved bir if she was THIS is the episode the pulled her in for help.

#Nour episode 5 was a game changer for me with the show. I've watched the precious episodes and they were okay. The constant switching from wide angle to close ups with the shaky camera DID not help...made me nauseous. Whatever they did in ep 5. Fixed that. #boyslove #thaibl

I'm so glad you mentioned this BC I was going to walk away and I'm glad I didn't. This episode was litty tiddy and had so much plot that there wasn't room for more plot.

As long as they film for release outside China there is no issue. They don't want China to see gay China things. So, you'll see a lotnof CBL released in the last two years are in partnership with Thai production.

The second book has more going on in the first 50 pages than all of the first book. It has more in common with Song of Ice and Fire in space and Book 3 is...amazing.

So far, this has felt more like Doom Patrol with the seriousness of the X-Files. Gage terrified me in a way that only Toombs did in the 1990s. In my mind its retro aesthetically. I see Quinn smoking Virginia slims and driving a Cadillac. Low color grading...

That's called learning. Ask them to hold the questions until you're ready. Have them email them to you and have a q and a day for review. This was one of my most successful ways to increase test scores as a TA.

My Personal Weatherman, Tokyo in April. My Beautiful Man, 2, and the movie are in a league of their own for Japanese gay shit. Cherry Magic and Old Fashioned Cupcake for the classics.

Its WAAAAAAY better than it should be. Imagine bad buddy but with 10 foot tall giant babies playing tennis. That's the jist and its like 7.895/10 on the fluff score. Its also got a hilarious support cast.

Picked up two new books that look great. #thereisnoantimemeticsdivision first chapter felt like I was somewhere between the Matrix and Doom Patrol. #Scion first chapter was a action packed wtf and absolutely felt like cyberpunk x john wick. #scifi

And I wonder if anything will top these. Can #gelboys turn the emotional gravity well back on? Will #mrfanboy give Duang a run for it. There isn't really anything on the horizon that has my interest peaked.

#whereorangesfall the fluffiest and funniest feel good show of the year. #tickettoheaven the show with the weight. Like Shine or Moonlight Chicken this is not fantasy, but rooted heavily in reality.

One month left of quarter three of 2026 and I've got a solid top five for the year. #edgeofhorizon is taking my spot for best #boyslove show of the year. #loveofsilom favorite show. #duangwithyou the unexpected overwhelmimg dopamine drenching joy of the year.

Type Thiwat @tharntype.com · 03/09/2026
