Make sure to say hi to Chris and show him some love if you see him Uptown Charlotte outside of Chipotle. Typically on weekdays, he has been holding the door for people at Chipotle and seems to have great energy with good vibes.

Once TikTok is banned, Vine should really push to come back and take over what they started.

🥗👎 DO WE HATE HEALTHY FOOD? Local food content creator Cory Wilkins, aka @thadailyspecial.bsky.social recently posed a question that kicked off an interesting conversation among Charlotte food content creators. Does posting unhealthy food get more views? 🗞️ www.charlotteobserver.com/charlottefiv...

Black man wearing glasses, a black shirt and blue jeans, poses with an SLR camera over plates of food and a cocktail, set on a black table at a rooftop restaurant with the word "reserved" on the table. There is astro turf in the background, a blue sky overhead, and the tops of city buildings off to the right side. The food includes pancakes, french fries, a sandwich, ketchup and more.

Is the term “foodie” misused a lot now? I see a lot of people that refer to themselves as a foodie, yet are very picky eaters or reject trying new things. I think there’s a difference in being an actual foodie and someone that just likes to eat.

Surprised to see Turkey Leg Hut in Houston shut down permanently. I wonder how they got to $5 million in debt including owing the landlord over $100k just in rent 🤯

I truly believe that just cooking 2 whole chickens on Thanksgiving is much better than making turkey. Most folks struggle to even cook turkey properly 🤣

I’ll try most things, but that viral $21 matcha drink in NYC where they add a big scoop of banana pudding into the matcha is just….why 😂😂

People think they want to go viral so bad until you have to deal with all the random internet trolls and people who lack basic comprehension skill in the comments for weeks after 😂

I don’t think many people realize how hard it is to shoot a cooking/recipe video by yourself. Checking shots, mics, and setting up various angles while not burning the food is a skillset in itself 😂 #recipes

In Uptown #charlotte , the recent additions of restaurants like Albertine, Coquette, Seagrill, older staples like Fin and Fino, Mariposa, The Cellar at Duckworths, and the Monach Market and Market at 7th street food halls are slowly making Uptown a suitable place to intentionally eat local finally 🙌🏾

Tha Daily Special @thadailyspecial.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

I wonder how long it will be before BlueSky has more #Charlotte people on here constantly asking “what are some good brunch spots” OR complaining “Charlotte doesn’t have good food” over and over yet not saying where they’ve actually tried 😂

It still blows my mind how bad the Instagram search functionality is in the app after all these years. Searching for something on Instagram that you don’t have the exact account name for is useless 😂

Tha Daily Special @thadailyspecial.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

One interesting thing for me always as a Food Content Creator is that posting crazy soul food or junk food = viral but if posting healthier options my people rarely care to see them at all so it’s hard to appear balanced. I wonder if having primarily a southern based community is the reasoning 🤔

Cross on Amazon Prime was a good watch! While the storyline is nothing new specifically, it was refreshing to see the culture represented well.
