Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 10/01/2025This is on my list! Also, do you use Letterboxd? I just got the app to track my viewing this year. 010
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 30/12/2024Oh nice! Tricky because I know how time consuming it can be to create pieces, but I love little crochet stores 🤭 Will take a look. 010

Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 19/12/2024Cornfield Chase is one of those songs people will have as ambience music even if they haven’t seen the film. It’s so good, you can feel it in your bones fr 110
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 19/12/2024I think it’s more that I like to bounce off people, but I guess stating your own opinions opens up the opportunity for people to respond. Just means you actually need some viewers 😅 010
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 16/12/2024Okay my book club has gone for Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan, which is a reread for me but totally worth it. 000
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 16/12/2024Cmon booktokker letsgooo. Drop the @ I will admit, I constantly consider becoming a book content creator but I’m scared of being perceived. 110
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 09/12/2024ATTENTION ALL READERS OF BOOKS AND LITERATURE. I need some new short story recommendations (less than 200 pages). Preferably not the obvious classics. I simply have decision paralysis and need someone to choose for me. #BookSky #Books 💙📚 120
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 09/12/2024I think the only weaker part of Act 2 in the musical is the fact that they need to rush through a lot of the emotional moments and wrap things up, so I’m hoping a film will allow them to take their time. Otherwise, if they do deviate, I hope they take more material from the books. 120

Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 05/12/2024I’m convinced the marketers of said ‘Mega rolls’ don’t even know the answer to this… (Hence the creation of a mega roll) 000
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 03/12/2024People who can actually see the political commentary beneath the fun girly pop musical 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼 (Also making the scapegoat a literal goat) 030
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 02/12/2024Last year’s gift wrapping (I got carried away but it brought me much joy). 030
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 02/12/2024Purchased a couple gifts for family and I’m so excited for them to arrive purely so I can sit down and wrap them. In another life I’d work at a gift wrap stall or something, I genuinely light up if ever someone needs me to wrap a gift. 130
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 01/12/2024I do love a lil bedtime read with the backlit e-reader, I just read 10x slower apparently 😂 010
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 01/12/2024I think I genuinely read slower with an e-reader… Give me a physical book and I’ll devour it. I like turning the pages and seeing my progress. 230

Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 29/11/2024Okay but what is the review of this movie? It seems very sweet. 110
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 28/11/2024This is such a privileged problem but I don’t understand why it’s a thing. 020
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Look, I love a recliner chair moment in the cinema BUT I wish they didn’t automatically lower the back of the chair when raising the legs. Why are you trying to make me lie down? I’m here to watch a movie, I’m not about to do crunches to see the screen let me SIT UP with my footsies outstretched. 140
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Dear marketplace and depop sellers, Please stop marking literally any item of clothing as ‘vintage’. It hurts. 131
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 26/11/2024It’s very much a part of the ‘grieving’ and recovery process. I still have these moments of anger because you can feel so cheated by life sometimes… Acknowledging that now you’re in a better place helps you enjoy the ‘now’. I’m glad you can recognise that. 010
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 24/11/2024After a year of burnout, I can’t explain the spark of joy I have when discussing projects and passions with other people who are willing to do the same. Conversation is fun. Share brain knowledge with me. We can get all excited together. 020
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 24/11/2024As both a theatre kid, and someone working in marketing, the campaigns for both of those movies caused me physical pain. There’s absolutely space for musical adaptations to be massive (have we all forgotten Hairspray and Mama Mia?!) 020
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 24/11/2024There’s a chance you never saw it! It was an extra scene included in DVD specials I believe, so if you didn’t watch it that way you may have missed the number entirely. 110
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 24/11/2024To be fair, they exist but can easily flop because production tries to make them more ‘palatable’. I think this film did a very good job at simply enhancing the existing material through a different visual medium, rather than trying to change too much of the original IP. 110
Rubi @tgrubi.bsky.social · 23/11/2024I’m a theatre nerd and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even from a cinematography perspective I think there was a lot going on to ponder and reflect on afterwards. Keen to see it again. 110
