Just switched from using F-Droid to Obtainium for getting updates for the WAFRN Android app... Maybe getting apps for my Pixel straight from the source is better, and [possibly faster? Either way, the F-Droid app has been kicked to the curb and its shit thrown out the door behind it. I'm actual[...]

Yay, a new release of the WAFRN app for Android.... Fortunately, the repeating of text when typing characters in edit boxes is far less annoying now. It still happens after the completion of each word, but it's definitely progress when it comes to accessibility with Talkback and other screen re[...]

Wow, this month has flown by... Started the month with an iPhone 15 Pro Max which has been replaced by a Pixel 11 Pro XL. I'm actually happy with the Pixel and the Android ecosystem. It's far more flexible than iOS could ever be, which makes me happy that I'm not locked into a single app store [...]

Two issues with the app... First one isn't a showstopper for accessibility, but it's annoying as hell. Talkback speaks the text of the edit boxes each time I type a character. It makes entering text tedious as shit ibn the app. The second is unlabeled links or what appear to be links but do not[...]

Thanks, that makes things much easier. My primary way of accessing WAFRN is via an app I found on FDroid, which I use on my Pixel 11 Pro XL.

Okay, that was a bit confusing... Since WAFRN doesn't exactly show the full handle for my account for me to share with others on the fediverse or BlueSky by default, I had to do some detective work to figure out what my full handles are. At least I know the one used for the fediverse now, but s[...]

Testing out WAFRN for the first time after kicking Meta and its apps to the curb (tossing out their stuff behind them)... What finally made me do it is the constant accessibility issues with their apps, especially when it comes to screen readers. I'm blind and screen reader accessibility is sor[...]
