there are times when it makes sense to throw out the Theory of Mind and just pretend other people are not rational creatures. driving is one them. investing is another investors behave more like schools of fish than like people

When someone uses a library rather than writing their own function to see if a string is either null or empty. Congratulations, it's now a dependency to pull in, manage, which can break on you all to save 2 or 3 lines. I hate "hello world" dependencies.
