"-It's about the future of THIS company and I can tell you're not listening to me! 💢💢" There is a short story related to the piece in the alt text My good friend @dipdoo.bsky.social Helped a lot with writing it.

Your manager, Jane, has called you into her office to discuss a rather important matter. It's getting late now and everybody at work looks tired, so it wouldn't hurt to get comfortable right?
As you walk in, you can see that Jane’s looking plenty comfy. Resting on a couch with her shirt already partly unbuttoned and feet kicked up on a high table.
"Take a seat, please. My back can't stand another minute in that awful office chair..."
You sat down and listened. Her voice was calm, soothing even, like white noise, but tired too. It makes it hard to treat a meeting with your boss as something to summon some focus for, especially with the casual feel. But there was something that made paying proper attention tough. You’ve been staring at her large soles from the moment you sat down. Legs crossed at the ankles, almost right in front of you, putting them so close that you can easily see she’s been on them all day.
Her dark tights were a great fit, effortlessly highlighting the thickness of her legs and making her skin look even softer, smoother. With her feet nearly in your face, your eyes roamed along them. You can see every little wrinkle, all the stubborn specks of dust stuck to her heels… even the tiny shifts of her toes.
Your cheeks warm up as your heart beats faster. To Jane it's probably nothing, just giving her aching legs some relief. Her dogs were barking so she decided to take her heels off and let them out, oblivious to how it would tease and tempt you. Putting one’s feet on the table while talking to someone might be a sign of disrespect, but Jane knows you're both tired and neither of you are too stuck up. It’s her office anyway, so she can do as she pleases.
Suddenly, her legs shift, toes scrunching...
-"HEY!"- She barked, just shy of shouting.
A shiver runs down your spine... Is she onto you?
-"I can tell you're not paying attention! Maybe you can tell me what's so distracting, huh?"

My vent art about learning that you're not supposed to have such a hard time keeping your insteps flat on the ground

My tan spider fursona from behind , on top of a yoga block on their knees, left leg out to the side for a bit of relief from this stupid stretch for plantar flexion . An anthropomorphic megaponera ant massages the sole of the left foot, while a band legged earwig measures the space between the purple exercise mat and the instep of the right foot with a very small measuring tape . My fursona looks back with a sad and annoyed expression, the other two serious and stone faced and serious about their work. There's pale curtains in the background to the left, and the side of a wooden shelf visible to the right . A sliver of floor is visible beneath the mat, grey linoleum inset with stones and Everything is bathed in orange light . just some artefacts from my Life

Not my greatest perspective work by a mile and it took much self restraint not to correct everything with mesh transform once the pencil was scanned but I did not because it truly is never that serious.. I don't think this composition is very flattering either but that part is more in line with my priorities and a more straightforward goal here was to not use any reference and that did go pretty well all things considered. I also do not own a yoga block and instead actually use a creepcat dragon plush on top of two books to do this stretch and it still sucks so I kind of wish I did have professional help but I didn't want to draw all that maybe I'm just lazy and also a bad person . These are meant to be the same ant and earwig featured in previous grounding exercise artworks

An anthro megaponera ant uses four hands to massage the metatarsals at the sole of a two toed foot to their left . I hate calling it the ball of the foot even if that is the appropriate term but I GUESS ventral metatarsal is a mouthful but either way they are serious about their work . You'll never guess who's in this one
