Watched the season premiere of HOUSE OF THE DRAGON last night. My takeaway is that you should always read the user’s manual on your dragon first. Also, kudos to the show runners for making that same dragon look like a used car with chipped paint and a missing bumper. 🤘

Watched AFFECTION last night. A very enjoyable minimalist horror film. My one complaint is the fine points of the narrative are not explained in depth, which left me with a lot of questions. Jessica Rothe carries this, would love to see her in more horror movies. Overall 7/10 ⭐️

Watched Wuthering Heights (2026) over the weekend. I've decided that Mr. Earnshaw played by Martin Clunes was definitely the monstrous villain of a Gothic Horror story running parallel to the events of the film. "Alcoholism" was just a euphemism for "Chugging Dr. Jekyll's Potion."

Watched this one last night and it was a lot of fun. Good special effects and likable characters keep you engaged with a plot that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I also love that they stored a backpack nuke in a garage. 7 ⭐️ out of 10.

It's been awhile, so I thought a writing update was in order. My neo-slasher, Cure For Evil, is finished minus four "band-aid" chapters I'm having to write to tie up some plot holes. Two of those are finished, the third one will be today, and planning on starting the fourth this weekend.

Watched this one last night and really enjoyed it. I’m a fan of Hills Have Eyes and a fan of horror taking place on a subway, so this was like the best of both worlds. Best commentary while watching came from Emily: “He does not look like he flourished under those fluorescents.”

Found a copy in the wild at Barnes and Noble on Friday. Just finished it today. This was another fun entry featuring the return of a character I never expected see again. I’ve been reading this series since high school and it was a big influence on my own writing. I can never get enough of it.

Saw EVIL DEAD: UNWRAPPED last night a.k.a. The Mummy. Not the worst thing I’ve ever seen by far, and it’s good for what it is, but it didn’t feel like a Mummy movie at all. *Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen it* My biggest question is how they got him through TSA at the end?
