Yeah posted to the local RBA and ebird and a few people have been able to get on it by driving the area. Pretty hard getting it pinned down. No visits to the yard yet today.

Never know when nature will throw a fun curve ball, but a few days ago I saw this large bird that I didn't recognize land in the backyard. I started taking pics of this rare Hooded Crow. No clue how it got to my #CorpusChristiTx yard as they come from northern and Eastern Europe. Shipborne? #Birds

Got out to #PortAransasTx yesterday for the morning and saw 2 Wilson's Plovers on some flats near a boardwalk, an adult and a youngster. As I took some pics, the adult moved towards me and started up with its Injured Wing routine. I captured some of that on video and then moved on. #Birds

We have some Brown-crested Flycatchers in our neighborhood and I noticed that 2 were taking up residence in a small nest box in the neighbors yard. Yesterday I could see food being brought to the nest and, on occasion, fecal sacs being removed. Wonder how many babies.. #CorpusChristiTX #Birds

We love seeing them arrive every spring. Their sounds and actions are addicting. Pretty soon, the earliest laid eggs will start to hatch and we'll start the next phase of parents hunting and feeding the hatchlings until they fledge. Good times.

We've been Purple Martin landlords over the years. Now that we live in #CorpusChristiTx, we've had pretty good success at our 2 gourd rack systems. (Total of 24 gourds). Yesterday I found a nest with 10 eggs in it. Never seen that high a number before. Curious how that nest will turn out. #Birds

I don't exactly how we got that many, but I'm curious to see how the story develops.Another nest had 7 eggs in it. It was the high number till I found the 10 eggs in another nest.
