It's rarely the velocity that kills you. Unprotected, you would need to go faster than 800 m/s before any drag related heat becomes deadly near sealevel, while terminal velocity is 150 m/s if you really aim for speed. It's usually the consequeces of the rapid deceleration that does you in.

I'm sorry to spoil the mood. I want peace in Ukraine too but does anyone actually believe that Russia is serious? Russia will use this to stall, to restock and rearm. Russia will attack again with more firepower and many more civilian Ukrainians will die. I fear that this is a big mistake.
