Blood mage Jack and Morrigan Miranda do not approve
Fan art by AndrewRyanArt of two Mass Effect characters done as if they were in Dragon Age. Jack is shown as an elf blood mage and Miranda is shown wearing an outfit very similar to Morrigan's from the first Dragon Age game

This article has some fun examples. www.notesfromthefrontier.com/post/frontie...
Screen snip from the linked article that reads:

So what language did cowboys, saloon patrons and garden-variety frontier pioneers use to express themselves profanely? You'd be surprised. They might say "I set to frumping him for a shanny," which meant I made fun of him as a fool. Accusing someone of "rumbumptuous monkey shines" meant they were trying to trick folks. Calling someone a "flannel-mouthed chiseling chuckleheaded gadabout coffee boiler" meant they were a no good, smooth-talking, dishonest, ignorant, jawflapping, lazy ass. A "rag-propered lickfingers" was an over-dressed ass-kisser.

Saloon vernacular was especially colorful. A "dabster lapper" of "rookus juice" was an exper whiskey drinker. Whiskey itself had more names than ants on a June bug: red eye, oh-be-joyful, scamper juice, family disturbance, tarantula juice, prairie juice, coffin varnish, clinch mountain, sheep dip, etc. Washy stingo was weak beer. Hoothouse blackwater was coffee.

Love the nails! Side note, whenever I hear/see someone say "It's time" my brain immediately conjures this Anthony Clark comic:
Black & white comic showing a man in bed. In the first four panels, a cat is peeking up from the side of the bed, climbing onto the bed, getting in the man's face, and finally laying on the man's face. In each of those first four panels, the cat is saying "It's time". In panel five, the man has a grumpy expression on his face and is holding the cat in front of him. The man asks, "It's time for what?" In the final panel, the cat replies, "Revolution."

I love how "AI" is somehow steadily getting worse while its evangelists keep insisting it's better than ever. I'm pretty sure that Google's "AI Overview" is wrong about something every single time now.
AI Overview from a search on my username, "teufelaffe". It reads:

"Teufelaffe" is a German word that translates to "Devil Ape" or "Devil Monkey." It is historically well-known as a moniker given to U.S. Marines by German soldiers during World War I due to their fierce combat capabilities, translating in English to "Devil Dogs."

Only the first sentence of that overview is correct; the second being entirely wrong as it's in reference to the word "Teufelhunden".

I don't care how much money was offered, the devs for 007 First Light should have told Jaguar "no thanks" to putting their Type 00 in the game. Look at this PS1-lookin monstrosity:

Imaged frequently used in discussions about Survivorship Bias. The image shows a top-down drawing of a WWII bomber with several red dots across the wings and central fuselage. They indicate places where bombers that successfully returned from missions were damaged by enemy fire. The initial reaction to this at the time was to suggest reinforcing those parts of the plane. However, those represent where *surviving* aircraft were damaged. Planes that were damaged in other areas generally did not survive, making the reinforcement of the areas not damaged on the surviving planes a more effective means of protecting plane crews.

So much of corporate "culture" is doing and saying things just so others see that you're doing and saying things. I'd be willing to bet that the amount of time and effort spent doing pointless work just so one can be seen "working" dwarfs actual substantive work by a few orders of magnitude. 1/2

The quoted section is from a sex scene and reads, "Eliza and Ezra rolled together into the one giggling snowball of full-figured copulation, screaming and shouting as they playfully bit and pulled at each other in a dangerous and clamorous rollercoaster coil of sexually violent rotation with Eliza’s breasts barrel-rolled across Ezra’s howling mouth and the pained frenzy of his bulbous salutation extenuating his excitement as it smacked its way into every muscle of Eliza’s body except for the otherwise central zone."
