If your job is to facilitate hiring, and someone asks for details about a job you're posting, you should probably read the emails you're sent. And instead of saying "we offer some compensation for this course you wanna take", say that, and then give a link or further context!

Worked at a thriftys deli for five years during college. As a dude, I didn't get much flak, but I've seen it happen. More than once I stepped in and yelled back at them. Once even threw a loaf of bread at a guy, ha. Yeah, people can suck.

For a game called "traveller", the game leans into a corporate monoculture that kind of bugs me. This was a moment where the players fleshed out the world a tiny bit, as a group, and it felt like a more real place. I need to take this experience, learn from it, and do it again.

Traveller today was a 3/5 session, but it had one really great part that fired the imagination. The PCs decided to plan their next move at a cafe. So I asked them to design the cafe. We got a menu, and learned that the place served "Coffeee (tm)". It even had a corporate slogan!

Was on a coast guard ship today, and hung out in the mess for a bit. They fact that they have a switch 2 and an Xbox doesn't surprise me. That they have a board game library, and the board games are actually pretty cool (they have code names! And Cyclades!) totally did.

Yeah, his family said it after the film's came out. I don't think he was one of the talking heads in the show, though if memory serves he was alive at the time and interviewed with Ambrose (could be wrong). A lot of his German interpreter stuff was actually other ppl, apparently.

Apparently the blindness thing did happen, Winters confirmed it after the series, but the rest of it was fabricated. And yeah, Liebgott was Catholic. Ppl assumed he was Jewish because of his name, and he never bothered correcting people (he thought it was funny).

The rule as a whole is designed to give players a chance to choose their own level of risk. If they think they're likely to succeed, they'll want to use bigger dice, but if they're likely to fail, they grab lower dice for a hail Mary. What do you think? Does the idea have legs?

On tails, a random rival or enemy of a PC does something that negatively affects them. A bounty hunter shows up and says "Sheila sends her regards". Or while they're filling out paperwork, they get audited because their rival flagged them as suspicious persons.

If the dice are used up, the gm flips a coin. On heads, a random ally of a PC does something that benefits the PCs. Maybe he sends something to them that could help. Or maybe they find that he left spare parts they need in his old stateroom.

Once a complication happens, the dice pool refreshes in the middle of the table. If all the dice are exhausted before a complication happens, I think something weird should happen, but I'm not sure what yet. I have an idea, though

If the test fails, the complication is a "no, but" "You get halfway up the wall before you fall! Luckily, you land on the grass instead of concrete, so the damage is halved." "You cant fix the engine because you don't have the right part. But if you find that part, it won't even require a check".

If the test succeeds, the complication is a "yes, but". "Okay, you climb the wall, but the knot you tied on your rope tightened too much, and it'll take a few minutes to untie." "You fixed the engine, but stripped a few nuts and you'll need to replace a tool."

Idea for #traveller I've been toying with. Every session, I put two 6-sided dice, two 12-sided, two 16-sided, and two 24-sided dice in the centre of the table. Every time a player makes a roll that has some importance, they pick one of those dice to roll in addition to their normal 2d6 roll. 1/
