Das war ein bewegtes Jahr. Im April war ich zu einer Beerdigung. Die Partnerin meines Bruders war gestorben. Ich habe einen 100 Jahre alten Bowler Hat als Erinnerung mitgebracht, der ihrem Großvater gehört hatte. Ich habe ihn restaurieren lassen. Hier sind vorher und nachher.

Yes, I did. It's a hobby. Sometimes I start my letters with an illuminated letter, or I adorn personal notes, or books with those, like this short paragraph on planets and their symbolic meanings.

I like to write, and at one time trained to have a good handwriting. It's readable, as long as I'm not in a hurry, like taking notes during a speech, or writing down thoughts and ideas. 😄Sometimes I like to start a letter with an illuminated letter⬇️

Sometimes a mouse enters the house. They're not very shy. Once I even caught one with a glass bowl. And once I had to rescue a mouse when it somehow had managed to entangle itself in a piece of wire.

Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg, build in 1606. during the occupation in WWII, Germany used it to incarcerate resistance fighters and others. From this viewpoint, families tried to catch a look at their loved ones.

Double vision is nasty. It was a possible side effect for me. Fortunately all went well. My regular treatment to cope with the edema accelerated the cataracts. And yes, it's in the eye. More uncomfortable than the surgery, but also quicker. I'm in and out within 15 minutes.
