Vaya pena que con la movida Kojima haya perdido el acceso al motor que usaron para Death Stranding. No solo por el retraso que supondrá, sino porque hicieron magia con Death Stranding 2 a 60 fps con cargas súper rápidas. A nivel técnico me parece lo más puntero que ha hecho un AAA hasta hoy

This situation reminds me a bit of filmmakers like Scorsese being unable to get funding from the studios anymore, because the people they'd worked with in the past are gone and for the folks who are there now, it's purely a numbers game.

For many, the news was surprising. Kojima and PlayStation have had a long relationship, with the Metal Gear Solid franchise calling the console its main home for decades. And when Kojima and MGS publisher Konami parted ways in a messy, public split in 2015, it was PlayStation that swooped in to provide the famous game designer with funding for his next game, which would end up being Death Stranding. But Bloomberg reports that many of the PlayStation executives who had developed a close relationship with Kojima over the years are no longer at the company. Seemingly, those who remain don’t see investing in Kojima’s next big game as a valuable move.

Creo que ya va siendo hora de asumir que el maxilismo en los videojuegos ha dejado de ser buena idea. El hacer de todo, tener de todo, y ofrecer todo en el mismo paquete ha dejado de ser viable, salvo contadas excepciones. Y con producciones gigantescas incluso significa perdida de identidad
