Horrifying: Johannesburg, 1969. Doornfontein station was in an inner city larley industrial area, so large numbers of factory workers, dependent on public transport. White employees were fewer, and better paid managerial/admin workers, who may have travelled by car rather than commuter train.

It's widely believed that Americans have a poor grasp of world geography. As far as Africa is concerned at least, this proves it. A map prepared by the State Department "mis-identified the locations of Cote d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Nigeria by enormous margins".

This is just one of the reasons Farage will not be PM. Most polling projections show him just short of a majority, so would need a coalition with Tories, which Kemi says she won't do. Also: recent by-elections in Wales, Denton and Makerfield show the importance of tactical voting against Reform.

Which party leader would make the best Prime Minister? In head to head polling from YouGov, Ed Davey beats Farage, Starmer and Polanski, and is within margin of error against Badenoch. Badenoch now doing better than previously. Polanski ahead only against Farage, who loses against all.
