Delighted to have been shortlisted for the Everton Fan Advisory Board (Andy Drake). I'll share what I bring to the position over coming weeks & how we should listen & communicate with Blues all over the world. Would be delighted if you vote to have me represent you #EFC evertonfc.tfaforms.net/1649

Cheers, Andy. Great night despite the smell of RS. Need for disinfectant.

Hard to describe this weekend but one overriding feeling was & is the extraordinary power of the fan base Meeting Blue mates, seeing some for 1st time some on here demonstrates, of course it’s the place but it’s really this city & its’ people that exude loyalty, defiance and community #EFC

Interesting fact of the day 4 - 26th March 1963 - Tony Kay scored his first goal as debut as we lost 4-3 away at Arsenal (Source:evertonresults.com)

Probably the one EFC player I most wish I’d seen. Bally is my hero but fully understand why others adored even more The Golden Vision @terrysmithblue.bsky.social

In the last few weeks, we’ve been honouring “greats”. Both Ball & Young certainly deserve that accolade, but Young had a transcendent quality, lifting you above the normal football experience. #GoodisonGod

Good interview. Seems to be in sync with TFG and David Moyes. I think he means “strategically conservative”, but he definitely subscribes to Evolution. #EvertonEvolution

With respect, there was a genuine question asked based on having a friend who doesn’t have a Membership (eg: an Evertonian who has emigrated) use a digital ST. It’s not a case of the ST holder going or not.

Two of the great Everton number nines, who spearheaded the Blues to the league title (in 1939 and 1963): Tommy Lawton and Alex Young. The latter was born on this day in 1937.

The ‘Everton Overton’ phenomenon. ‘Happy Clappers’, “accepting mediocrity”, and “fans dragging them over the line” being the main weapons of choice.

Cultured centre-half, captain, Corinthian. And, above all, an Evertonian. Remembering Brian Labone on the 85th anniversary of his birth.

I was also on The Kop, Frank. I was 9 and wore my blue and white scarf - you could in those days. Marvellous memories.

Colin Harvey is quite pleased with himself for scoring the 4th goal against Liverpool September 1964

I remember this game well. Before KO, a Kopite planted a pole with a purple heart (Google Everton drug scandal) in the centre circle to which 3 ‘Dolly Birds’ (as was PC to day back then) attached a bunch of Blue & White balloons. Then we battered them 4-0!

Don’t you remember Pythagoras? Those internal angles have to add up to 180. The more the ‘hypotenuse’ is pulled out, the bigger the angle adjacent to the Right Angle at the bottom. Therefore, the steeper the stand.

Terry Smith @terrysmithblue.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

The good old ‘Hypotenuse’ logic would suggest that the angle at the foot has to be steeper. The real beauty of this design is that not only is it closer to the pitch but accommodates exactly the same fans as The Kop but in a much bigger space.
