I kind of wondered what Spotify would say about my listening history. Who else was too weird for Spotify to figure out? (I listened to Spotify while I was traveling, I listen to albums I’ve bought mostly directly from the artist if possible at home.) (Also I’m 58 but apparently incredibly immature)

Apparently I listened to 289 genres. That sounds right.

Also apparently I am 26 years old from my listening history. I was apparently nostalgic for the 2010s. Actually I AM nostalgic for the 2010s, those were good times.

My number one genre was: French Rap, and I don’t speak a word of French.

Because crows have eyes on the side of their heads, they see different things at the same time. Generally they use the same eye to see things close up, like food, and the other eye to scan for predators. So I am still getting the “possible threat” eye from them, even though they seem to trust me.

I was homesick while I was gone, and kept looking at old photos of familiar places like this intersection near my studio. I love how much of the past Portland hung on to. I can walk outside my workplace at lunch and almost see back through time in little ways.

Portland Oregon in the 30s and the same intersection now. Notice that the streetcar tracks got paved over and the theater sign is similar but different now.

A weird looking dog and a stolen corn husk and also a stolen USB cable, now that I look at it, in his fuzzy bed. The weird looking dog is a juvenile delinquent. Any day now I am going to find him vaping and wearing a backwards baseball hat.

Since I’m looking at Radio Dismuke, I will also post pictures of my grandmother, Jewel Nicholls (she’s the dark haired beauty with the ukulele and the one with the sailor kerchief) from that time period. She lived to be 106.
